Wild nutrition for cultured mutts!

Nanuk

Fourteen-year-old Nanuk eats Taste the wild OR raw meat exclusively... and I swear it's contributed to his longevity. His older brother Captain Liam I was a border collie and only ate Taste of the Wild -- even though we teased him for being a proper gentleman!

A True Game Changer for My Dogs

MichiganHouseWolfs

Finding this food has been a fantastic discovery. It’s easy to get stuck in a rut with what you feed your dogs, and I didn’t realize how much better it could be until I tried this. My dogs eat it like it’s the best treat in the world. I use both the wet and the dry formulas, add a little water, and they devour it like it’s the feast of champions. What really surprised me is that I can even use the kibble as a high-reward treat in training my shepherds. I have two very high-energy Schutzhund dogs, and they go after it with the same drive as if I were handing out something special.

Taste of the Wild to the rescue!

Oma71

Griffin is a rescue dog who was covered with severe mange and 3 days from being euthanized in a kill shelter. Through great medical care and a wonderful new diet of Taste of the Wild dog food 2 years later he is the picture of health. He was a very finicky eater and didn't care much about food. We tried many brands, but once we got him on Taste of the Wild he eats like a champ. Thank you Taste of the Wild!

Best for picky eaters!

Kinsy

We have been giving this to Belle for 4 years since we got her. And our dog Hindi for 5 years before she passed. Both of them love the food and don’t hesitate to eat it. Especially Hindi who was normally a picky eater. Belle gets super excited when we bring the bag home. She can’t wait to get done even if she’s just eaten!! Best dog food we’ve given our dogs!

Our labs love this food. Great for digestion!

Keith D

I switched to TOTW years ago, when no other food would agree with my Lab Lily. She has stomach issues, and nothing on the market was working. After doing some research I found TOTW, and picked up a bag from a local feed store. She ate the food hungrily digestive issues for the most part have gone away. Lily was intolerance for grains, and anything with fowl as the protein. Fowl for her was foul for our noses. Lily has been on the Boar or Fish (if boar isn't available) variety for as long as I can remember. Lily now has a sister, Maggie a Chocolate lab. The only kibble Maggie has ever had is TOTW, besides the disgusting big brand starting with "P" with those nasty ingredients pushed by the AKC and our vet. The breeder pushed the brand starting with a "P", that is all when Maggie was given by the breeder. Maggie is almost two and we got her at 9 weeks. She eats like she never gets food. Don't change anything, this is the food for our current dogs and will be for any we get in the future!

I recently bought the Wild Boar bag and no where on the bag states it’s for all life stages (unless I’m missing it) but on the Petco website it says it’s good for all stages so is the wild boar good for all life stages?

  1. Hello, thanks for contacting us. Yes, our Southwest Canyon Canine Recipe is an All Life Stages recipe. The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) statement can be found on the side gusset of the bag as well as on our website.

The ingredients shown under ingredients/Analysis are different than what the picture shows on the bag? Which one is correct?

  1. Hello and thank you for bringing this to our attention. We apologize for the confusion. While the ingredient image is correct, the information in the ingredients section is incorrect and we are working with Petco to get it updated.

Hello, I switched to your Southwest Canyon because after frequent skin irritations and finding he was allergic to chicken. His skin has cleared since we switched however he often has room clearing gas and has gained weight at 6.5 years. can you suggest

  1. Hello, we are sorry to hear your dog has a problem with gas, that is not fun! Please know, there can be many factors that contribute to excess gas production. Some factors include: • Consuming food too fast, which leads to swallowing too much air • Intolerance to certain ingredients • Possible disorder of the gastrointestinal tract We’d love to learn more about your dog. If you’re willing, please contact us by visiting https://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/contact-us.

What is the size of each kibble? I have a Chorkie with dainty jaws who I’m trying to switch up his food to address possible allergies. Want to make sure these are a good size for him. He currently eats Wellness Core small breed. Thanks!

  1. Hello, and thanks for reaching out! Our kibbles are created with dogs of all sizes in mind. The kibbles in our adult canine and All Life Stages formulas are a flat, round disc shape and approximately the diameter of a dime. Please know, we offer an adult dog small breed recipe, our Appalachian Valley Canine Recipe. The kibbles in this recipe are barrel-shaped and about the size of a pencil eraser. If you are interested, we are happy to answer any additional questions as well as provide a personalized recipe recommendation. If interested, please contact us by visiting https://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/contact-us/.

Are any of these ingredients good for a dogs brain? My boy has epilepsy and not eating his prescribed Purina pro canine Neuro food for epilepsy. I want him to have great ingredients not so much chemicals

  1. I've found this to one of the best brands out there. My dog loves it and it isn't full of non-nutricious fillers. DogFoodAdvisor gives it a great rating and they've never had a recall in the entire time they've been around; which unfortunately is all too common.
