Questions
I have one cat. The 5 pound bag lasts two months, but 14 pounds is much more cost effective but lasts 6 months. I put the bag in a plastic covered storage unit that snaps shut. Will the 14 pound size still be fresh for 6 months of use?
- Thanks for your question! We guarantee the food will stay fresh until the “Best By” date that is stamped on the bag. The recommended storage method is to keep the food in its original packaging to help maintain freshness and keep vital information handy. You may store the entire bag in a closed container as well. If you prefer to pour the food directly into a covered container, we recommend that you cut out the UPC/production code and “Best By” date from the bag before you empty and store it in the container, so you have the information readily available. Whichever storage method you choose, the food should be kept in a cool, dry location, as excess heat or moisture may cause the nutrients to break down.

Now that you have reduced the weight to 14 lbs instead of 15 lbs, how many cups of food are in the bag? There used to be 60, how many are there now?
- Thank you for your question. In 2019, we adjusted our bag sizes from 15 lb. to 14 lb. The number of cups per bag varies slightly depending on the recipe. Each 14 lb. bag of Rocky Mountain Grain-Free with Roasted Venison & Smoke-Flavored Salmon contains approximately 56 cups.

Can This food be used for Hedgehogs? Most of the food that is made for hedgehogs is either really good, but sold out or not good and makes them sick. I was reading through the comments and on one Hedgehog review, and it recomended cat food.

My cat is 14 and we have been feeding it whole hearted kibbles from Petco. We also give her dried natural chicken and salmon chunks for treats. We are looking for a soft kibble does your brand have it? She can't eat wet she has a sensitive stomach.
