Cage-free turkey is the main ingredient in this simple but satisfying limited ingredient diet. 98% of protein comes from just two ingredients: 60% from turkey and 38% from lentils. Chicken fat and carefully selected vitamins and minerals round out this complete diet, while guaranteed probiotics help support digestion. With PREY limited ingredient diets, you can give your cat the complete nutrition they need and a taste they crave - without the hunt.

Cat loves it, but it makes her sick

Freya

We were feeding this cat food last year to our chicken sensitive cat. We stopped feeding it due to supply issues. We recently started again. She absolutely loves it, but it's been 2 weeks of gradual change over and her diarrhea is awful to the point of incontinence. We are taking her off of this immediately and sucking up the cost of the bag. Going back to Canyon River (no chicken ingredients). We would love if you'd go back to the old recipe or create a LID cat food that doesn't include any bird ingredients. She had a similar reaction to the Prey Turkey as well.

Taste of the Wild
Hello, thanks for being a loyal Taste of the Wild customer. We're sorry to hear about your cat’s incontinence issues. Our PREY Angus Beef Limited Ingredient Formula for Cats has not had a recent recipe change. It contains three key ingredients (Angus beef, lentils and chicken fat). Chicken fat does not contain chicken protein, so cats with chicken allergies are less likely to have a reaction to this ingredient. If you’d like to speak with one of our team members directly about what your cat experienced, please contact us via the contact us form on our website https://totw.pet/contact-us or by calling 1-800-342-4808 (8 a.m.-5 p.m. CT on weekdays.).

We've only given it to our cat for one day but...

We recently rescued a concerningly underweight but very friendly cat from off the streets. Although initially given a clean bill of health at the vet's, she failed to gain weight, prompting a second visit. (There were other concerning symptoms, many relating to the litterbox. I'll spare you the details.) Blood work confirmed irritable bowel syndrome (IBS - just like us humans). We were given a prescription gentle digestion cat food that proved to be anything but for our kitty. So, I did a little research on what to avoid for cats with IBS (such a long list!) and went to the pet store. After an hour reading through ingredients, I came home with a bag of PREY - Turkey with cautious optimism. We mixed it with her old cat food to transition her over, but she only ate the Prey Turkey, ignoring the old cat food altogether. Listen, she's been on it for one day, only 24 hours, and all her symptoms have vanished! She's clearly more comfortable, the litterbox looks normal for once (we changed it right before offering the new food), and she's already shown more energy than we've seen since we adopted her. I was hoping that it would work, but I had no clue it would work so well, so quickly. I am beyond thrilled. If your cat has IBS, this is your sign that you should try the Prey - Turkey.

Cat eats it up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was a little Leary at first that my picky eater would turn up her nose but it was quite the opposite . She absolutely loved this food and will meow loudly when her bowl runs out. It is quite affordable and definitely a value for your money.

Finally no more throwing up

Gypsy013

I’ve been having a horrible time finding a way to keep my furbabies from throwing up. Vets. Meds. Prescription diets. Different cat foods. Then I remembered how big a difference Taste of the Wild dog food made for my pups. Sure enough they make cat food! I was going to try the less expensive versions but after reading the list of ingredients for their Prey I decided to give it a shot. Having two kitties with IBS I was literally at my wit’s end. By the time we got to 3/4 Prey:1/4 other cat food there was no more throwing up! And when one kitty insisted on going under or behind the furniture to throw up you can imagine how much this means for us. The cats are healthier and I’m a little saner. Yes it’s expensive but not as high as the prescription diets! I’m so happy I bought this food. My furbabies are happy as well!

Yes, I recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently discovered Taste of the Wild Prey in the turkey recipe. Molly is 15 and is a very picky eater but loves trying new food. This was a definite winner for her. She seemed to enjoy the taste and the size of each piece was perfect for her. She keeps asking us for more.

  1. What is the source of fiber in the ingredients of this?   Probably mostly the pea protein. Veggies also have fiber.  Meats do not.  The company has done a strange job of answering some folk's questions! Phfft!
