I got this food a while ago, and it seemed to fix my dog's number two issues finally. However, he developed major problems with his PH levels and in his kidneys from this food. I do not recommend this food. The vet said it was from the food; we tested the theory, so this is not just conjecture.

No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Beatles went nuts when they tried the taste of the wild salmon flavor. They’re very fussy now if they don’t have it and I could see an immediate difference in their coat. Will buy again for sure!

This recipe saved my life

Luffy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, my name is Luffy. I don't want to be dramatic, but this Recipe really saved my life. I was weaned when I was one month old ,So I grew up with stomach problems. My human parents didn't know how to feed me without getting sick. They tried different recipes, barf diet, chicken (although it was my favorite, I developed an allergy to chicken) I vomited every day. Or one day yes, one day no... when they were already losing hope (not counting all the money they had spent on vets, ultrasounds and constant diet changes) My vet recommended TASTE of the WILD Pacific Stream which, apart from being delicious, helped me not to vomit anymore, with the allergy problems I had and even with the bad smell I had when sweating. I recommend it x1000 Today I have gained 4kg since I started eating it And I like it a lot

Beau

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bullies tend to have a lot of allergies and Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream is so good for us. It is made with highest quality ingredients, is nutritious and I love the taste. I was so excited to get my big bag in the mail that I tried to eat it from the container. I even tried to climb in the big box it was in to get more but my legs are too short and my ample sized body couldn’t fit. Thank you TOTW for making me a happy boy.

Why are almost all the reviews part of a promotion? So are these paid reviews for favorable reviews? Where are the non paid ones with honest, real reviews?

  1. Hello, thank you for the question. We do not pay individuals for their reviews. We do occasionally run contests asking customers to provide their honest feedback. Reviews received are left by real Taste of the Wild customers.

Hi where is the salmon sourced and does the salmon have any chicken or chicken byproducts in it? Thanks

  1. Hello – The salmon in our Pacific Stream Canine Recipe is sourced from Norway and South America. This recipe does contain natural flavor, an ingredient added for enhanced palatability that is derived from chicken. The natural flavor is added in an amount that is not likely to trigger allergies in pets.

Our dog as congestive heart issues ,vet told us to feed low sodium dog foods . Is this product low in sodium

  1. Hello – Our Pacific Stream Canine Recipe is not formulated specifically to have low sodium. This recipe contains 0.25% sodium on an as-fed basis.

How many calories per cup?

  1. Hello – Our Pacific Stream Canine Recipe contains approximately 408 kcal/cup.

What exactly is smoke-flavored salmon?

  1. Hello - Smoke flavoring is an alternative to traditional wood smoking. We use this flavoring process with our salmon for an enhanced, unique taste.

I have a Bichpoo puppy about 6 months old. Never had a dog before. She scoots her butt along the ground. I am hoping changing food will help. Will this be a good choice Or Ancient Grain formula? Should I add wet food also?

Is this a good brand for my 17 month Chow Chow? If so which one is recommended? He has a sensitive stomach and is gassy.

    1. Small bites are really good for tummy issues, and many dogs have issues with chicken, so switching to fish or beef can be really helpful! I switched my whippet terrier to this food years ago and it's been really helpful for her. Just make sure you gradually switch him from his current food to this or the switch could be hard on his system.

Can a 4 month old labradoodle puppy eat this

    1. no it needs puppy chow but it can havs dieria

I have a 6 month golden doodle, would this be a good food to feed him now?  Or wait till he is older? He is 45 lbs now.

    1. Hello, and thanks for reaching out! As a general guide, we recommend transitioning puppies to adult food at about 10–12 months of age. For large or giant breeds, between 12–18 months of age is a good time to make the transition to adult food. With any diet change, we recommend consulting with your veterinarian to determine the best time to transition your Goldendoodle to adult food. If you have any additional questions, please contact us by visiting https://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/contact-us/.
