The Tangerine Lyretail Mollies are a beautiful, easy to care for, vibrant and hardy option for the beginner hobbyist. Males have a pointed anal fin with a larger dorsal fin while female have a rounded anal fin. They prefer harder, alkaline water conditions over acidic and soft water. They can adapt to a variety of salt levels if they are properly acclimated. They are peaceful fish that will do great in community tanks. Be aware that these are livebearers so when adding females and males that you can end up with more than when you started. They are omnivores and will eat just about anything you offer including flakes, pellets and frozen foods.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

Black molly with a white spot near the anal fin. Is she pregnant
Are these Molly's a female dalmation & a male silver assorted male?
A female(?) Molly fish with swollen belly, isolated from the other fish in the tank. Had for approximately 17 days.
I want to know if this is a gold fish or gold colored molly? I thought it was a molly until i saw the egg-like substance today morning. Is the third pic an egg or something else (one of my black molly gave birth to 25 live ones today...so, i want to know if it is a part of the fluid while giving birth or an real egg of the orange fish?)
Good afternoon i had a question one of my mollies has a pop out eye i was wondering if tere es anything i could do for it or what was wrong with it? thank you.
30 gallon freshwater tank 6 peaceful community fish, planted tank. nitrite0, Ammonia0, nitrates low. ph 7. One molly died quick and sudden. another molly (bloated not pregnant) bottom of tank looked dying. put in salt. She improved. wite tube poop. still swimming bit crooked. one neon tetra swim bladder died. another tetra very bloated. parasites?
Two of our freshwater fish are acting oddly in the water. We did lose a few last night, due to an ammonia spike. We noticed some pale-colored, wormlike flesh dropping from the front area (between the mouth and front fins); this black Guppy is “wobbling” around... We also have an orange Molly fish that has been staying on the bottom, not eating or moving much. Attached are pics, for your review. Can you please provide advice for these issues, we want to try our best to save them!
Does a orange belly in a fish mean she is pregnant and there is two male goldfish with her
I think my Lyretail Dalmatian molly has the swimmers bladder issue. I have videos that i could send or I can take pictures later. She stays near the top of the tank and seems to have trouble using her rear fin.
Hello!! I have a 14g tank with a few mollies and danios in there, but something has been bothering me lately. One of my new mollies (male) has a white dot on the tip of his tail and I’m afraid that it’s some kind of disease. What should I do? Thank you for your help!!
I have 2 baby albino clawed frogs , I was wondering if I can add an adult molly to their tank ?
This is a balloon molly and i noticed that the fin has been damaged. I dont know why it has happened, can you tell me why? I keep 3 balloons in my 20L tank and he is the most aggressive so i dont think the others did it to him. I feed them tropical fish flakes and frozen brine shrimp in turns and do water changes once a week. Can this condition be fixed? if so, how can i help him?
