I foster an American Chinchilla rabbit for a local rescue. He has one ear and is about 7lbs, but is pure skin and bones. I got him 2 weeks ago, and since then the rescue and I have been working on helping him gain weight. He's been on alfalfa pellets and Timothy hay. I've added rolled oats for his fur and nails too. When can I transfer my juvenile rabbit to adult rabbit food?
My year-old rabbit will not transition to adult food. She picks out the young adult food from the mix. Can she stay on young adult food?
Hello, I just rescued a dwarf lop rabbit from its previous iwner because it was clearyl underfed. This morning her brother died and I brought the her back home to care for it. She is at least 4 months old, but even though it doesn't look like it because she has a lot of fur, I can clearly feel every vertabrae and rib, even the pelvic bone! I was wondering how I should feed her to help her gain a normal weight? She is now 2,5lbs... I don't know if that's enough? I read they should weight around 5

My rabbit having loose stool
Hi, I've had my young pet rabbit for 3 months. She seems fine, eats hay, a small amount of pellets and healthy greens, but she's not gaining weight. She weighs 4 pounds now. I'm not sure how old she is. Would you be concerned? Thanks, Betsy

My friends rabbit( she's 4 or five years old I think) is pretty small and you can feel her spine when you pet her. Is this normal or is she under weight? And what foods are best for them? Thank you!!
