The "Super VC-10" Milomo Cichlid will bring a lot of color to your aquarium. Males get bright blue bodies with red spots. However, the males are also usually more aggressive, so we suggest a ratio of 3 to 4 females to one male. They received the name VC-10 from the Vickers VC10 jet airliner, which would commonly fly between Malawi and England. They prefer an aquarium with a sandy substrate with lots of hiding spaces. In the wild, the "Super VC-10" Milomo Cichlids are found in brackish waters, so they will do best in aquariums with a basic pH and low salinity. Use caution when choosing aquarium's size because they can grow to about 8" long. Be sure to feed a varied diet of meaty foods and pellets that contain vegetable matter.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

Hi, I bought 6 platy fish and a black corydora catfish about 2 weeks ago, all seem in good health bright colours and swimming round as normal they are in a 48l tank which the pet store said was a big enough tank for them all, but one of them seems to be loosing his scales or I’m afraid he may have itch but it dosent look like it I hope you can help, thanks.
How to increase colour deep red and yellow citation of red blood parrot fish and yellow parrot fish ? And how far shyness of red blood parrot fish ?
One of my parrot cichlid has developed black eye which I don't seem to understand as to what is it exactly. Eye is swollen and a bit out of its socket. Previously it was white but now changing to black color. Due to this fish is hiding continuously and other fishes are pinching it.
Hi there, I'm not sure if this website applies to fish, but I don't have anyone in my area that can help. I have a gold nugget pleco and he eats veggies and driftwood all the time, has a large 55 gallon tank to himself and he has normal catfish habits-sleep during day, up at night. Anyways he was a beautiful black and gold but now his colour is fading... I looked it up and it means death (but he's eating and still very alive...). Is there anything you know about why else the colour could go?
So I have an established and cycled 10 gallon tank with 1 white male platy and 1 albino Cory catfish, the filter creates a bit of a current and then I have a bubbler to add more of a current, I also have a older maybe 2-3 year old betta who is very chill and I wanted to know I could put him in this tank happily and without fault?
i also have a female cichlid that her color is faded she looks sick but is eating fine and swimming fine she is breathing a bit heavy the heat is at 85 not sure if the digitli heat is accurate or not
I have new aquarium with few gold fish and milky white carp fish. Some skin problems is infecting in all my fishes like skin coming out. And all fishes are showing abnormal behavior. Please help me fr saving my fishes
My pet pike cichlid is not eating and is always staying in one corner of the tank. It is in a 20 gallon with 2 convict cichlids, 2 firemouth cichlids, 1 Oscar, and two plecos. My ammonia is 0, nitrate 0 and ph is 6.5. Water is a little tinted because of the driftwood.
I’m getting a 20 gallln tank and I would like to know what are the best tropical freshwater fish that I could get? I would like to get a pleco, but he would get to big for my tank, so I’m wondering if I could donate him to my locomotive petco in The Dalles Oregon? Thank you I love PetCoach!!!
I have just brought a new rapheal spooted catfish what care should I take as it is with discuss arrowana and blue angel pls will u share me the link how to hold it
Hi, Got a marine fish tank 120L. The blue tang got white ich a week back and it died and post that within a week all the other fishes died. Had a pair of clowns and various damsels. Now with no fishes in the tank, what should I do next? I plan to get the water tested and plan not to add any new fish till 2-3 months? Anything that needs to be done during this phase? I have switched off all the power and filter in the tank. Thanks, Milton
