The Sun Catfish will brighten up your aquarium. But be sure to never use an aquarium net to catch this fish-this catfish has rays that inevitably snag in netting, making them almost impossible to safely remove. Instead, use a plastic container to corral your fish. Like many catfishes, this species is primarily nocturnal, spending its days hiding under rocks. While you won't see much of it during the day, it'll often dart about once the lights go out and will usually put in an appearance when the tank is fed. The Sun Catfish would prefer a sandy substrate to reduce damaging their scale-less body. This species isn't picky when it comes to diet, as almost anything offered will find itself quickly consumed. This catfish is not overly territorial but will snack on anything that can fit in their mouth.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

They belly is a shimmering yellow gradually getting duller towards the tail. the tail and fins are yellow with red borders. Its eyes are blue. It seems to be enjoying staying at the top most of the time. Its not aggressive. Please help me ID my fish
Hi, I bought 6 platy fish and a black corydora catfish about 2 weeks ago, all seem in good health bright colours and swimming round as normal they are in a 48l tank which the pet store said was a big enough tank for them all, but one of them seems to be loosing his scales or I’m afraid he may have itch but it dosent look like it I hope you can help, thanks.
I have a catfish and it looks like his eye is messed up he died I wanted to know what happened I have a picture but not sure how to send it to you the eye is puffed out and white
My Cory catfish has developed a weird bubble on it’s gill and I can’t find any information about it
I have 2 salmenese tiger fish and two smaller fish in approximately 3.5 L bowl. I bought them on 1 April. 3 act normal but one act abnormal from first day. One salmenese tiger fish doesn't move much first it stayed at bottom now it's gapping at surface and if I try to catch to check it it goes down again. It's fins are turning red or I don't know if it already was. I don't understand how to help. Parents are out town so I can't go to shop. I am not sure if all are eating food.
I dont know if you are a tropical fish specialist. But there is something going on in my tank and need help diagnosing it. My corydora has two raised growths ..one at the base of its fin. And one under the eye. My pleco seems a bit tattered too. A little flashing was happening with my yoyo loach also. That's now stopped after a water change.
I’m getting a 20 gallln tank and I would like to know what are the best tropical freshwater fish that I could get? I would like to get a pleco, but he would get to big for my tank, so I’m wondering if I could donate him to my locomotive petco in The Dalles Oregon? Thank you I love PetCoach!!!
What is type of breed of my cat?
We just tranferred Joey from a 40 Gallon Tank to a new 90+ Gallon Terrain... He seemed to be pretty happy till today. We noticed right before we changed tanks that he had some dark coloration on his left side and tip of his tail.. He was shedding at the time so we figured it was part of it.. It has yet to go away, and today he seems VERY active, mostly attempting to climb the glass of the tank. I have attached a photo, Thank You in advance! ~Robert~
