Vet prescribed Prednisone 5gm tablet for cats. Do I pill him or can I grind it into food? Also for my other cat vet prescribed Albuertol Sulfate syrup 2mg for "as needed" can you tell me what is that used for and is it just used for coughing spells.
Puppy seen in ED on 8/4 after swallowing 81 mg ASA ... given med to throw up. Put on carafate TID x7 days, told to follow bland diet (have been giving him rice BID). Vomited x1 (yellow tinged with full rice particles) today...does he need to be seen by vet or is this common given he is not eating his regular diet? (only eating BID like his normal schedule despite giving med TID)
My dog was seen by a vet and it was determined he has an ulcer which we have been managing for about 2 months. He was on sulcrate suspension plus for 2 weeks and takes 10mg of Pepsid a day. Sometimes the Pepsid isn’t enough for him. Is there a better anti acid I can use? I am wondering maybe we should get a prescription one? I was thinking of trying omeprazole but I wanted to double check first. He usually Has acid reflux 3 times a week even with the Pepsid 10mg once a day.
Which tablet is good for dog fungal infection
Where can I get amorazole tablet for my dog on line
My cat is 10years old, he was given famotidine 1/4 tablets but getting him to take the pills are a battle. Can I dilute the tablet in water than give him it orally?
A vet that specializes in neurology provided me with Gabapentin 50 mg tabs to give my cat twice a day. There are no numbers on them, just white round scored tablets. Evertthing I google says lowest dose is 100 mg. Concerned I may have been given the wrong medication.
When my dog was vomiting white and nit eating anything his vet offered him with PAN IV along with Zofar via saline. But as it was having a psychological impact on him his vet shifted to PAN 40 tablets and Liquid Antacid along with a tablet named Mitrus. But still I find him vomiting white and severe loss of apetite. His vomit is filled with mucus sticky substance. So if you could help me I would be thankful to you.
My cat (6.8 kg) has diarrhea, and the vet prescribed 1/2 Flagyl 250 every 12h (no specific diagnostic was made). It's been very hard to follow this protocol because the cat is very stubborn when taking pills (spits them and panics) and the only person in the house who can do it is me. However, due to my work shifts, I can only give him one of the doses. I read online that this dosage (1/2 pill) can be given just once daily and it's still effective for GI upset, but wanted to confirm this. Thanks!
My vet prescribed 5 mg of omeprazole for Jack. The lowest dose the pharmacy carries is 20mg, so I will quarter the pill. However all the tablets have the ‘delayed release coating’ and instructions say not to break to coating or split the pill. Am I ok to do that to get the 5mg dose? Is it harmful to break the coating and release the whole dose at once? Thank you!
What is the dosage for a 50# dog? We keep smz for our horses
