My shih tzu puppy is coming next week, he is up to date on shots so he will see his vet in about 3 weeks. My question is I am planning to feed him Stella and Chewy's perfectly puppy chicken and salmon dinner patties freeze dried dog food. On the package it says under 2lb feeds 2 freeze dried patties, are 2 freeze dried patties enough for him or should I feed him more. How many calories puppy needs per day. How to make transation from his kipple to new food, eating 1/4 cup kipples 3 times per day
Sorry for my many questions about m puppy. I have been feeding my almost 3lb shih tzu Stella Chewy freeze dried puppy recipe patties. The 1 patty is 32 calories. The food company recommended 4 to 6. When I gave him 4 he seemed hungry. I gave him 6 patties per day. When I asked again today to see if I can increase it , i was advised to feed 3- 4 patties per day. The bag says only 2 patties. I am confused. I called his vet but no answer yet. How many patties should I give per day, is it good food

Hey! My dog ate some food that was left out for maybe 7 hours accidentally. Stella and Chewy’s ‘Meal Mixers’, chicken based freeze dried raw — if you add water, it says to consume within 2 hours. We got Stella, an 8 wk old Alaskan Malamute puppy, on Jan 3rd, 2017. She has had loose stools since we got her. She has been treated for worms and Coccidia. Stool sample is now parasite free - still no relief from diarrhea. Have tried two different brands of kibble. Yesterday only fed her boiled chicken breast and rice. After two meals of that stool is much more firm. Is it just the food?
Recently, Tot refuses to eat anything other than canned stew types of dog food. However, her stomach is extremely sensitive, despite slow transitions, stool is liquid. Her vet has prescribed pro-pectilin, which seems to help, but not enough. She currently eats Dave's pet food stews. We have also tried Instinct with the same result. She is 14 and is in what I've been told is the end stages of heart disease, so I want her to have the best food possible. Any suggestions?

What would I need to add to a recipe containing following: Beef Liver 3lbs Lamb Hearts 2lbs Beef Tripe 1lb Ground Chicken 5 lbs Water - as need to incorporate beef stew bones 3lbs Brussel Sprouts .5 lb Butternut Squash 1lb Pink Himalayan Salt- 1 tbl I did cook all of this, although I know that raw is better, and then ground it all together.

Hello I'm Candace I have 2 Yorkies they both have pancreatitis. I usually feed them moistened diamond puppy and boiled or canned chicken. A lady at Petco suggested I mixed in some grain free fresh pet food mixture and alternate with freeze dried Stella &Chewy's meal mixture (which is moistened with warm water). She said grain free bcuz they often have diarrhea or soft/mucas poop or my male dog has trouble pooping. I did this for 2 days. They love it but have had some soft poop. Is this normal?
