I adopted 3 senior cats (2 brothers and their mom) who spent 15 years in a shelter. They spent their whole lives together in a small room. One of the brothers was so meek when he came to us. If one of the other cats wanted something, he would concede. When we medicate him, he would shake and hide his face but never fight back (as opposed to the mom who would put up a decent little fight with hisses and swats). We've given them other toys and he liked them okay but they didn't keep his attention long. To be fair, they're 15 years old so they don't need a ton of play. But when I introduced this earth day toy that I bought on a whim, he instantly fell in love with it. He bites and grabs at the little plush parts but he REALLY loves the stiff elastic string and finger loop. He's always been so meek that I've never been scared of getting bitten or scratched by him. But this toy brings out his cat instincts almost to the point of aggression, and I even get a little nervous when I use this teaser toy with him. After q quick play session, he likes to relax and fall asleep with this toy. I ordered a few more in case the first one wears out and we never find one quite as entertaining for him.
