The Stars & Stripes Puffer is tan with white spots that resemble stars, and the bottom half has horizontal stripes. When choosing tank mates be sure to pick other semi aggressive fish that can stand up to the puffer, so small, timid fish like cardinals or gobies are not the best tank mates. Aggression can be amplified in smaller tanks. This puffer is not considered reef safe as they prefer to snack on sessile invertebrates. Since they have sharp beaklike teeth, provide a diet with shelled items and meaty food to help prevent the beak from getting overgrown. Cautionary note, all puffers have teeth and can easily chew any wires that are in their reach in the aquarium. Puffers will inflate their body when threatened, so to prevent this try using a container when transferring the fish instead of a net. The Stars & Stripes lacks pelvic fins and mostly depends on their pectoral fins to move around. They will grow to be over a foot in size, so adults will need 180 gallons.

Petco Freshwater Fish Aquatic Invertebrates
Hi, My fish has white spot which is expanding. It also has something around mouth. Spot looks white with small dots in it. I thought it is an ich outbreak. Currently tank is treated with Sera omnipur (30% of recommended dose). It is big pufferfish. thanks for your help Nikola
I have a freshwater pufferfish and he isn’t eating the fish flakes like the other 6 fish in the tank (red tail shark, clown loach, and tetras). Do they need to be fed live or frozen food? He also butts into the aquarium walls here and there. Is this caused because of stress or anxiety? If so how can I fix that as well.
I have a green spotted puffer. I was wondering if it could be happy with an algae eating fish in brackish water?
How to increase colour deep red and yellow citation of red blood parrot fish and yellow parrot fish ? And how far shyness of red blood parrot fish ?
My goldfish appears bloated
I have 3 Fancy Goldfish; Spot, Zedar and Monty. Monty has 2 white lumps on his head was swimming before but is lying inside the ship all the time. Spot is all white with black and orange spots it was spastic swimming but still eating. Then got swim bladder but still eating. Then started staying in the ship, now just lying on the tank floor. Spot was showing signs before Monty. Zedar seems to be fine but occasionally taking large gulps at the top of the tank and while in the water. What is this?
several of my pond goldfish have developed these growths. They are not in distress and feeding and behaving normally. I wondered if you had any idea what they could be. Vic, Clacton

Hello! I'm looking to add some additional fish to my 36 gallon reef tank. So far, I have an orange firefish, 2 ocellaris clowns, a fire shrimp, a peppermint shrimp, and 4 blue legged hermit crabs. Do you have any recommendations other than damsels?
Betta fish has ick near its eye
My fish has bulges on both sides. They have been there for months. The fish spent months fighting the other glofish in the aquarium. The water is tested, changed about every 3-4 weeks. Water change is 50%. I also change the filter 3-4 weeks. I feed flakes, dried blood worms, and frozen assortment of food.
