"Durability" must be dog-dependent. Our smart 70lb dog plays with this incessantly—and not gently—and after having one for years it still takes her at least 20 minutes to get all the treats out. Ours finally broke after she launched it down the stairs for the 40th time, but I'd say that's plenty durable. And again: she really, REALLY loves it. Buying another now!

My dog loves this bal more than me

I’m afraid to go a day without The Ball. It’s a National crisis if my hound goes a day without his treat ball. There is a learning curve, but now I have to put all the treats in the 4 dot section him.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My dogs FAVORITE THING!

My dog LOVES his “treat ball” he rolls it around the room and it engages him for 15-20mins plus he always goes back across all the floor incase he missed a piece! We use a different flavor of dog food in it so he thinks it a “treat” but it isn’t as unhealthy

Worth it once they figure it out!

I bought this a few years ago and my dog initially didn’t understand how to get the treats out. He’s a chewer, so he set out to chew off all the outer plastic. At that point I took it away. Fast forward to now and we rediscovered it during a move. He has been using a different food dispensing ball so I thought we’d give this one a try. He figured it out right away. Since there are some places in the outer plastic that show he chewed on it before, he is keen to pull on those when the treats aren’t dispensing fast enough. We will give this a go for a few more days and maybe order a new one if he continues to enjoy it. I think he was just too stumped by it the first time! Two nice things about the outer plastic: it’s soft enough he can carry the toy to a different area to have more room to roll it, and it’s quieter on wood floors than hard plastic. I will say it was tough for me to open, but my husband had no problem. If your dog is a chewer, make sure you’re watching them with this ball so they don’t just settle in to destroy it.

The all time favorite toy in my dog boarding home

StephF22

I board dogs at my home so I have had over 100 different dogs play with this toy of all shapes and sizes. They all LOVE it! Sometimes I can’t even leave it out or they will fight over it. Even if there are no treats inside because it still smells like food some dogs just like to chew on it. Which is fine by me because it doesn’t harm the function of the treat dispensing design. I have had this toy for 5 years with extreme usage and it still has not broken. The only wear is from dogs chewing the outside soft portion that goes over the hard plastic underneath. But it is a dog toy! It’s going to have chew marks right? As long as I can still put the treats in when I want and this keeps my dogs happy and occupied with something I am happy and so are they. I am even purchasing another one just because so many dogs love it

Yes, I recommend this product.

Just what I was looking for

Great toy! I bought one for each dog and they were busy with the treat ball for quite a while. It has an easy option and a more difficult option which is great because most treatballs just dump all the treats out at one time. This one made my boys work harder to get the treats out. It's large enough that they can't get their mouths around it and chew it up also. I have two Standard Poodles.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I'm here to buy another one. I've been feeding my dog his breakfast in this for 3 or 4 years now. He's a 60# pitt who destroys things quickly. I have no idea why/how he hasn't destroyed this one sooner, but it finally cracked and he can get it open quickly (after 3-4 years of daily use). It was hard at first to get the hang of getting it open.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this treat toy made of hard or soft plastic? I’m wondering how noisy it is.

  1. The outside is soft but the inside is hard. As they push the toy around, you hear the treats bounce around inside. My dog has learned that once the sound has stopped, no more treats. It is heavy so it makes some noise going across non carpeted surfaces.
