I have an older yellow lab that gets bored really easily. He gets bored with kongs and is an extreme chewer so rawhides or other chewies disappear SUPER fast! He is very intelligent and I was thinking of getting him a puzzle toy that involves treats as he is EXTREMELY food motivated! Since he's so smart should I still start him on the most basic puzzle or try something harder? I don't want to waste money on toys he'll go through really fast. And are there any other sorts of toys you can suggest?
My 8 year old dog is very stubborn; he won't do a trick without a treat in hand.he knows the trick, bc if I have a treat in my hand he'll do it. I've tried to do the treat sometimes, sometimes not, and it still doesn't work if I don't have the treat in my hand. what do I do?Also, is there any way for him to LIKE toys? The only thing he likes is 1 ball. I think he'd like a squeaky toy if he knew what he was supposed to do with it. I tried moving it around, but he just doesn't get it.
My puppy used to swallow its treat ,so what to do to make him chew its treat?
Sara is a very active hyper dog So lately we bought her a Kong Type Toy to help keep her busy what's a good low calorie filling for the toy that I can do at home that is safe to use everyday or almost everyday
My small dog ate the rubber from a tennis ball
I have bought a KONG puppy dog chew toy.. It would be great to know what sort of treat I can put inside it. Here, I'd like to mention that the KONG treats are currently unavailable in my country. So considering the age of Ghontu, what all can I use as treats inside the Kong chew toy?
Could you recommend a good brand of toys, treats or bones for puppies who are teething?
Made dog a treat dispenser from 1 water bottle. Normal plastic bottle with a hole on the side. I filled it with dog biscuits and then used a hot knife to make the hole ( with the biscuits inside.) I'm concerned if the biscuits are safe to eat.
My dog LOVES her tennis balls it is all she plays with. But she keeps breaking them and then trys to eat what she break off. How do i go about getting her to not do that? I'm afraid one day I'll be away from home and she breaks one and she chocks. Can't get her to play with any other toy/ball. What do I do?!?!
I adopted a very overweight dog. I am working on weight management and she has lost some weight but I'm concerned as she gobbles her food down literally in a minute. I just bought the puzzle bowl but she can only reach one morsel at a time using her tongue as she is a big dog. This doesn't seem right either but I don't know. It definitely slowed her eating. Advice please.
What type of things can I put into this kong?
This is Dexter, my gorgeous 7 year old rescued hound, & his 4 year old ball. He loves his ball & can find it anywhere we hide it in the house or yard. 2nd picture is his new ball. It squeaks like his old ball & smells like bacon. He seemed to like new ball & we played inside for a couple hours off & on. When I took him outside & threw it he ran to the ball sniffed it &walked away. The only ball he brings is the old one. What should I do? Thanx. Carolyn.
