Good price for size, its cheaper than anywhere else besides the regular bound bales that incur 60 dollar shipping charges that only become cheaper for mass orders.

I've bought many of these. I started weighing them. They weigh between 27 and 42 pounds. Not even close to 50 pounds claimed

Inconstant Quality - my first bag was great and I thought I finally found a source of hay to replace oxbows awful price to quality issue but just like oxbow you never know what you're going to get here. Second bag was brown and smelled bad - bunnies wouldn't touch it.

I’ve been buying the Standlee Timothy Bales from one of the big box farm stores for several years now to feed my pet sheep and also my indoor rabbits. The quality of course changes depending on the time of year, cutting, etc (which is expected) but they’ve been extra dusty and extra stalky for at least a year now. I decided to try ordering from Petco this time so I could just have it shipped vs having to go pick it up and I’m VERY impressed with the quality. It’s still dusty of course being how it’s a compressed bale but it’s super soft and leafy compared to what I have been getting. This is the best bale I’ve gotten in a long time and it was $4 cheaper. Plus Petco tends to run a lot more sales. I’ll definitely be purchasing through here again.

But this monthly for my horses. Top quality. Love it.

Unfortunately I bought two of these compressed bales only to find they were nothing more than trash hay. It is like brown, dead curled up hay with yellow, dried stalks. There is NOTHING my animals will eat in this. I understand now why Standlee wraps their compressed bales in green plastic. What a waste of money. I don't understand how you stay in business if this is your premium product.

I have been using this hay for over 10 years - my aged gelding loves it. It is good quality and easy to transport and store. Have have very few bales that needed returned for any reason. The cost of course is more than hay from a hay farmer, but this is better quality and I can grab just a few bales at a time when I need them. A+

I first purchased the Standlee Premium Western Forage Premium Timothy Grab and Go Compressed Hay Bale, 50 lb in June of 2022 to supplement my Molly Mule I had just purchased as my pasture was very lush and I wanted to gradually transition her over from hay to green grass. I found they she really liked the Standlee Timothy compressed hay. I have continued to have one of these bales on hand and open an just give Ginger (my mule) a handful as she really enjoys it even when on pasture. Great product and very convenient!
