Certified Chopped Straw is an excellent choice in all-natural and biodegradable bedding for animals including chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs and other small animals. Our Chopped Straw is chopped into approximately 4" pieces so consumers only discard soiled straw bedding. Chopped Straw bags contains 2 cu. ft (56.6 L) compressed or 10 cu. ft. (283.2 L) expanded and are Certified Noxious Weed Free. Recommended For: Non-equine bedding, composting and chicken coops.

I am very impressed with this bedding! Got a few bags to use in my horse trailer while hauling and the quality is great! Absorbs horse urine well and makes the trailer smell good and not be slick for them. Pretty excited to put it in our horses run under too.

I use chopped straw as a substrate for growing mushrooms. Usually I buy bales but thought I’d make it easy on myself this time and bought this pre-chopped product instead. I expect the presence of a few seeds in straw, but this stuff is like growing a lawn. Way way too many seeds, more like hay than straw.

Clean and chopped to a perfect size for mulching a raised bed in my vegetable garden. One bale covered a 4'x8' bed to 6 inches. I will definitely purchase again.

I just opened a new bag of this "straw". I have to say that what I received is not straw. It has the consistency of dried grass clippings now. I used to get this all the time and never had an issue. This stuff flies away at the slightest breeze. If I could give it zero stars, I would.

I gave 5 stars to this product. I used these straws for growing mushrooms after I pasteurized them. And after, I used mushroom composts for my plants as mulching. They are useful, and there are so much of straws in each bag. The prices are reasonable. I will buy more from this company again when I need.
