Once this carrier is properly put together, it is sturdy. No reason the cat should be able to escape if that's what you want. There are plenty vents on the top portion so the cat can get air and see outside the carrier. I think it is a great value for what I paid.

Plastic pet carriers are more complicated to put together in current times. I suspect they are imported from asian countires. They are not as sturdy as they were 10 years ago and assembly is somewhat ridiculous. But we have to get what we can get.

Bigger then i expected. Easy to put together. Perfect size for my baby ferret plenty of room for her bed, and all!

Bought this a month ago from Petco. It is very poorly constructed. If you look at the photo of this carrier on the website, the lower right "wingnut" that it is supposed to lock the gate/door closed is cheap plastic. That's the same issue as the one in the photo, how ironic!!!It pops out at the slightest movement and my dog is off and running. I was thinking of naming my dog Houdini, because he keeps escaping when we put him in but it's not his fault, it's this poorly made crate. An update needs to done to rectify the issue with the wingnuts being so flexible that it can be manipulated to unsnap and cause the door to be loose and ultimately fall off.

Not bad, only have used it twice so far, seems ok.

It’s light weight, and affordable, but my 6 lb chihuahua can push the door open when ever she wants., and she is crate trained, so she is not putting a lot of effort into this.

Easy and quick to assemble (1 minute, no tools) and a solid, light carrier for a cat or small dog. Great value for the money.
