Is this safe for a 5 month old kitten?
- Though our formulas were not specifically designed for kittens, all are suitable for feeding…just not as the only part of the diet. The Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) sets forth nutritional info in pet foods. According to AAFCO, the primary difference between kitten and adult cat food is that kittens require higher protein. As our foods are protein focused, they make a nice option for feeding kittens as part of the overall diet. Our vitamin and mineral content is okay for kittens as well. Our formulas are lower in fat than many brands, so our overall calorie content is likely lower than most kitten food. Kittens need a lot of calories, so as long as a kitten is getting enough good calories, our foods can be used daily as part of the diet along with kitten specific food.

I tried Iam (individual portions in plastic containers) she eats it but not so much anymore, tried more caned food... no luck. I just adopted two kittens and switched their dry food too soon (they gave us free food, I assumed we could use). They got sick so we went back to their original brand. I was going to switch their "wet" brand from Friskees Turkey Giblet Pate to a kitten formula cat food (Chicken Soup for the Soul) but wasn't sure if I would have the same experience with them (diaherrea, vomiting). What kind of pet food do you recommend for a kitten
My cat Milly has always been super picky when it comes to food. I work for Petco so I always buy the top quality brands of wet food for them. I even tried raw cat food which she really liked, until it was discountinued. We give our other 2 cats (Baloo & Lola) what Milly gets, but I’ve noticed that this last time I changed their food to a new brand, it has caused all 3 some digestive issues. What should I look for in a new food to keep Milly happy & all 3 from having digestive issues.
