- I'm afraid I don't know. I'd encourage you to go to their website soulisticpet.com and look through it. Then, e-mail them and ask. I have emailed them and talked to them on the phone. They are great people, honest and will likely be glad to answer your questions. I can tell you the food is great quality. My cats have eaten for 4.5 years and rarely barf. They are healthy and it does help maintain weight.

I have one cat who is a diabetic and one cat with renal disease. Is this food ok for either one them? What is the carbohydrate percentage?
- All nutritional information is available on our website. http://www.soulisticpet.com/nutrition-info-all Cats are "obligate carnivores" which means they are obliged to eat meat. Calories comes from three sources...protein, fat and carbohydrates, and the first two, protein and fat, are in meat. Cats require high quality protein and fat. In contrast, carbohydrates are not metabolically necessary and should be kept to a minimum. We formulated all of our products with this in mind...so often, they are quite suitable for diabetic conditions. The main keys to helping the kidneys is often going to an all wet diet, focusing on high quality meat-based proteins, and controlling phosphorus and sodium. Our foods, though not designed to prevent or treat the kidneys, check those boxes and have been helpful for some kitties with renal issues, and they have been recommended by veterinarians.
