I have been buying this seed for about 2 years now, I have tried many others and this is so far the best! I use 100 Pounds of bird seed a month, 80 pounds of Sunflower seeds a month as well, I started with 5 feeders and now I have about 30 feeding stations. I have a section for the Crows, Blue Jays, Starlings 10 ground stations for all the ground feeders 10 stations for Squirrells with sunflower seed and nuts ( So they don't eat all the bird seeds) It works! 2 large stations for small ground feeders juncos, sparrows, etc.( so they don't get bullied :)) 8 large hanging bird feeders for the doves, cow birds, cat birds, cardinals, grackles 6 large water stations. It is like a disease, I get up at 5.00 am and spend an hour putting out all the food and an hour the night before preparing it, weather does not matter, snow rain, sleet, I am out there cleaning the area every night ( Birds are very messy :) This bird seed used to be about 10.00 for the 20 pounds about a year ago and now is almost double. I can barely afford it now and I will have to cut down to half. It breaks my heart but bird food has become so expensive due to the bad weather farmers have had in the past year. All the hundreds of birds that come to eat at my place adore this bird seed, it is the only one they like. It does not contain corn and that is why they love it. I highly recommend it and all my backyard birds.

The wild birds in my area love this seed mix. The painted buntings, finches, warblers and doves love the millet and the bluejays and grackles come for the sunflower seeds. I have tried a lot of mixes but this mix is still the crowd favorite. It's also a better value because it's fresher, not dusty and doesn't contain filler ingredients like corn.

Compared to other wild bird seed, in large quantities, they do prefer this brand over others primarily because it has been fresher. On the other hand, all of the wild bird seed offerings are sky-high considering the number of birds I feed twice daily. It never used to be this way.

This is the only seed my wild birds will eat. I started with a pair of birds in my bougainvillea bush. Now I have about 30 and they are adorable! I love hearing the little chirps. I have tried several kinds only to find the seeds were not eaten. With this, they readily eat the seed till gone so guess this is a good food for them. I even have a blue jay that visits and a coupe of doves. My only problem is that is food is hard to find. Everyone is sold out. I think I have little finches. They have a white streak on the side of their head.
