I was having to cook my dogs meals due to an allergen we couldn’t pin point. Long story short she’s now on solid gold sensitive stomach and this as her meal topper.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great food topper for picky dogs with a gourmand appetite. Also really helps balance their digestion and control of having too soft feces.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Been a Solid Gold fan for about 20 years and was curious about this product so purchased this meal topping about 2 months ago. Just finished up the one 16oz bag. I add about one half handful? daily and sprinkle in with my dogs food that has a couple of supplements added and the food those dehydrated raw bits as well so just another added tasty treat and source of vitamins etc. He likes it. Will continue to buy and highly recommend. I totally disagree with the previous comment about pea fiber and protein as they have a useful place for amino acids and vitamins and minerals in a dog diet when used appropriately and my dog has always had a grain free gluten free diet with no health issues but I think it depends on the breed of dog and the food company and taking the overall health profile into consideration not just one thing. Solid gold has been around a long time and a reputable company so if you have issues look at just more than one thing.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This should be called a nutrient blocker

Looking at the front of the packaging I thought this might actually be a quality product, however a quick look at the ingredient panel reviews the truth. First ingredient in this "nutrient boost" is peas - that means it's primarily made up of peas! Come on Solid Gold do better! Peas are known to contain enzyme inhibitors aka anti nutrients that literally hinder digestion and block nutrient absorption in dogs. Yes, this in comprised of 50% protein, unfortunately most of that protein comes from the peas, so that protein is of little use to your dog. Plant-based protein doesn't have the full profile amino acid requirements that dogs require nor is it able to be easily utilized by the canine body. I can't believe they have the nerve to call this a nutrient boost! Take the peas out of the formula and replace it with a healthier fiber, have that fiber ingredient the third or fourth ingredient down and the plasma ingredients be the top ingredients and then this topper would be a nutrient boost, but it wouldn't be as cheap for the company to produce. The last thing any dog needs added to its diet is more peas (or any legume). This "nutrient boost" will be especially harmful to a dog eating a grain-free diet.

No, I do not recommend this product.
