Bernie has gained 8 #s since we rescued him on11/15/18. We feed him 1c 2xs a day of Whole Hearted Chicken n Pea kibbles mixed w/2 tsps cottage cheese. He eats it right up and acts like he’d like more! We give him sm training treats throughout the day and a Greenie or 2. He’s a Terrier Bichon Mix that we know of. Weighs 29#s now. Is that too much?
I want to know the best option for puppy food. I'm currently feeding soild gold wolf cub for large breed puppies. The crude protein is 26.0%. I'm trying to figure out whether I should continue feeding the current brand or adjust to something with higher or lower protein. This food is potatoe free. Should I be more concerned with switching to grain free or is what I'm currently feeding okay?

This is Kyro, my 1st dog I've had for 7 months. In 7 months he went from 75lbs to 85. Was feeding 2 cups twice daily of "Diamond All Natural Beef Meal & Rice" with piece of Roast Beef with a teaspoon of some kind of gravy & 1 Milkbone, 1 bully stick, 2 Grain fee treats daily. I cut back to 1 cup with Roast beef twice daily. I don't want to starve him but I want to keep his defined stomach. He won't eat unless the Roast beef & gravy is in his food. Bag of food says 4 cups daily. Any suggestions?
My 12-year-old Goldendoodle has been losing weight recently and I have a vet appointment scheduled but I was wondering if you could recommend a new type of food/food topper/supplement that would help him put on some weight? He has always been on the smaller size (never heavier than 70lbs) and I am just worried about him losing weight. My 10 yr old lab lost 6 lbs when taken off dry food. He gets homecooked. Alternating between lean ground beef, turkey, white meat chicken. Veggies Sweet potatoes, yellow squash, green beans. He was a perfect weight. Elimating 1 cup of dry food per day added to homecooked was meant to be a healthy choice not for weight loss. Vet wants him to put the weight back. What can I add in, read that organic brown rice and Quinoa is not good daily and high in Phosphorus. Suggestions thx
What do you do for a Newfoundland mix puppy who is 20 pounds under weight, his vet wants him to be 80 something at his age but he is 61 pounds! I wanna feed him Royal Canin Giant Breed Puppy Food. (he’s more Newfoundland) plus it seems like Bear is having food allergies to chicken cause of itching and biting and scratching and was having more stools and or loose stools. Also his beard smells like mildew from him drinking water all the time ! Is it fungal?
