I decided to try this dog food mainly because my Corgi needs to shed a few pounds and the fat content is relatively low. However, the smell and texture were not appealing but she gobbled it down because she will eat anything. Several hours later she pooped and it was the exact consistency of the dog food. I had to return the other cans we purchased and went back to the regular stew like dog food that we normally feed her.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this food for my 17 yo chi mix who has pancreatitis. I read consumer reviews and on-line articles about low fat dog food, and this one had high ratings. I gave it only one star because he wouldn’t eat it and he will usually eat anything.

My dog really do like this food. My dog has pancreatitis so I wanted something low in fat and to help his sensitive GI. He was a an RX low fat dog food for years then he suddenly developed an allergic to. So far this food has been great.

Flavorful and good for Pancreatitis

Very happy with this food. My dog deals with pancreatitis so has to be on a low fat diet. Since she is old, however, she has also become very picky and has to have smelly wet food to spark her appetite. She loves this food and it is the lowest fat canned food I can find. I am happy I can meet her dietary need while also finding something she loves and has healthy ingredients. The price is even cheaper than her prescription food, which is also nice, but still meets the low fat need. Overall, very happy.

I had to find a low fat dog food for my dog that has pancreatitis. I couldn't afford the prescription brand and found this to be a lot more affordable and so far things are going well. My dog loves it and licks his bowl clean. I only give him a small amount of this a day to mix with his pancreatic medicine then give him some dry food as well.

My 5.5 pound pomeranian has both grain allergies and renal problems. Is this something I could feed her and not worry about aggravating the wheat allergies (no grain) or the kidney issues (lower protein)? Royal Canin renal and k/d renal have wheat.

We do have a grain & gluten free formula, Sunday Sunrise, that is lower in protein (22%) and lower in phosphorus which can be beneficial to dogs with kidney concerns.
