I had a pair of zebra finches in a closed cage. I had it for 4 days. The birds are in my terrace. All night I close the cage with a bedsheet. The 5th day morning when I removed the bedsheet only one Finch was there. The cage was fully closed. But the male Finch's feathers was outside. What can eat a Finch. I also have some love birds. I have 2 healthy bonded male/female zebra finches approximately 8-10 months old. Everything is proper in their cage with 2 hanging toys and bone. They eat a finch seed food and fresh water. The female though began going bald soon after purchase exposing her back of neck and most of her back. They seem healthy and happy regardless. Very bonded. What can I do to help her? And is it normal that she has not yet laid an egg? Please help.
Hello, I have an European Goldfinch. He's 1 year and 4 months old. Right after his moulding in September 2019, he started to be tired, had lots of appetite and being fluffy all the day. Even though it's winter, temperatures aren't that low. The goldfinch won't sing and sometimes he goes in the bottom of the aviary looking for seeds, even though he has plenty in his dispenser. Also, while he breathes, his tale is bobbing. What should I do? Should I give him medicine? Can you define what he has?
