Kind of flimsy, but does the job.

This is kind of flimsy and came with a crack in the plastic where the lid fastens. Not that big of a deal since she won't use it with the lid on anyway.

No liners fit! please make disposable liners

Have been using this for almost a year now and the biggest problem is that there are no liners that fit it. So fresh makes extra large liners that fit completely around the top, but they are not deep enough. So I am using trash bags that are too tall. Please make deep XL liners. Not fun to clean bin every week

Buyer beware

I bought this litter box less than a week ago. The litterbox top collapsed inside when my 10lb cat hopped up to get in. The part which holds the tops clips in place broke off on both sides. For almost $60 this should not be happening.

Overpriced

The guidelines do not allow me to mention the price of the product, but this much for a plastic box with a lid? I needed to replace two identical litter boxes I bought several years ago. I don't actually need the lid, just a litter box with very high sides to protect my walls from very enthusiastic scratching and a male cat with no sense of aim. So I went to a big box hardware store and got two gray plastic storage boxes (with lids) that look almost exactly like this for $11 each. (Am I allowed to say how much an alternative solution is to buying an overpriced piece of plastic? Most cats (including mine) won't use a top-entry box anyway. If you do want a large top-entry box, I suggest you buy a sturdy plastic storage box just cut a hole in the lid. Stop the madness!

I bought this a couple months ago. The lid is very flimsy! I am looking for another one to replace it with. I think that it’s too big for one cat. One thing I like about it is there isn’t much litter on the floor.

Horrible, don’t waste your time or money

I purchased this exactly 38 days ago and today the part that holds the lid in place snapped off. Contacted Petco and was told it’s beyond the 30 days(even though it was obviously defective) a little annoyed that $50 is down the drain after only 38 days. It’s unusable without that part because anytime the cats try to get on it caves in. This has led to my cats peeing anywhere except for the litter box. I also agree with some other reviews that the lid probably smacks the cats in the face when trying to use because it doesn’t lock on very securely.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Measurements are incorrect. I specifically bought this online because the measurements said a height of 23". Sadly it is only 15" high and now I have to waste my time and gas returning it because it will not meet my needs.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Is it possible to purchase a replacement lid?

  1. Dear KellyBoo, Unfortunately, there is no available replacement lids for the product. This will be evaluated. Thanks,

Why is this almost $60? Can someone explain to me what ACTUALLY is the difference between this and cutting a hole in a plastic bin tote that makes this worth the extra $45? Because I'm not seeing whatever that difference is???

  1. Hi ChuckNorris3rdFist, Good day! This item is specifically designed with your pet in mind. Constructed of high-grade plastic (100% recyclable) with increased wall thickness over similar products. Ridges on the top/lid help remove litter from your cat’s paws as she walks across, to prevent tracking. Also featured is a tilting lid that directs scattered litter back into the box when lifted from the proper end. The inside of the box is highly polished for easy cleaning and to help prevent odors from seeping into the plastic material. Thanks,

Where can I buy liners for this litter box? Petco no longer has them and the biggest I can find online is 20x15x15 but the litter box is 23x15x15 so won't fit...

  1. I use Worlds Best Litter, the green bag. This litter flushes down the toilet, so no litter containment system needed such as litter genie. It also clumps WAY better than any litter I've tried, so nothing sticks to the sides or sinks to the bottom. I don't NEED a liner with this litter. To transfer litter to toilet, I use a gallon milk container that I cut the top off with a large enough hole for a litter scooper, leaving the milk jug handle on. Works great.

What are the dimensions of the litter box?

  1. 15 inches in height. 15.25 inches across the short side in the middle(depth) And 23 inches long wise

Can you buy a replacement lid?

  1. I don't know. That might be better asked of Petco - usually they don't sell the lids separately on other covered litter boxes that I have purchased.

Is the lid removable?

  1. Yes, it it totally removable. You can use with the top or without.

Can a vert young (3months) kitten get in and out easily?

  1. I would think so - even kittens can jump pretty high. Plus once you put several inches of litter in the box, it isn't as far for them to navigate to get out of the hole in the top. If your fur baby has a bit of trouble, just put extra litter in to make the distance to the opening less! :-)

Does a cat have to be trained to use it? If so, how? It's been set up for 12 hours, and he hasn't gone into it yet. He's used to standard box with 9-inch sides. I just tried propping the lid open and putting a small box at the end as a step.

  1. Only got my cat to go into in once via the top without training and then never used it again. Left it sit out for months and she never went back into it. Not sure why?!  She must not have liked it either. Maybe try putting your cat inside of it and let it know its a litterbox. I was thinking I did that but its been a while. Every cat has a unique litterbox preference. Sometimes having all different ones on hand is great until you find which one works for your cat!

How big is opening?

  1. About 8 1/2 inches by 9 1/2 inches at the widest points

We currently have a hooded Litter box with a flap, to help keep odor and litter in the box, but still have a lot of litter that gets kicked out. Does this litter box help to keep the odor in at all ?

  1. I think it does help to keep the odor in at least a little bit but not completely.
