The scoop itself is a nice size. But the openings on the screen are suitable only for fine litter. I use Tidy cats and the litter would not shift through the openings.

This litter scooper made it possible to litter train my chinchillas. However, the listing of this product should be improved by including a list of recommended small animal litters to use with this scooper, because some litter granules are too large to sift through even when clean.

      Hi brittluna21, It can be used to scoop out bedding that has been soiled, however, the sifting grid on this is on the smaller size. Depending on the bedding, this may not be useful for sifting. Thanks,

    I use World's Best Cat Litter. Will this scoop work with it for those little 'cat crumbs' in the litter box?

      I am not sure. I've got raabbits not cats. My rabbits use regular litter in their litterbox. In their houses I use an 80/20 mix of the aspen shavings and shredded newspaper. The shavings would be much lighter than a litter product so take that into consideration. Sorry I could not be of more help.
