Description

So Phresh Pine Pellet Non-Clumping Litter offers a convenient and more Earth-conscious alternative to taking care of (your cat's) business. Made from lumberyard by-products certified sourced by the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, these unique pine pellets absorb liquid like tiny sponges, then break down into sawdust material after used. This makes it easy to discard used litter without needing to scrape. Plus, naturally scented pine hides odors with a fresh, forest aroma.

  • - Pine Pellet Non-Clumping Litter from SoPhresh
  • - Intoducing a new material and format for litter: pine in pellet form. Pine pellets are highly absorbant and expand & break down when exposed to liquid, turning the used pieces into saw dust
  • - Since product breaks down and expands with liquid, this is an ideal litter to use with a sifter litter box. Wet litter expands and dries into sawdust, so you can conveniently sift and scoop out used litter. Mess-free clean-up with no scraping necessary
  • - There are no added fragrances or perfumes so the product smells the same way a pine tree would smell
  • - Natural pine scent neutralizes odors on contact
  • - Made in the USA

Pellets are the ver best way to go. So sanitary!

I personally began using pellet litter thanks to my daughter whobworks at Tractor Supply. However in as much as i do like the So Phresh product, i donot like that the pellets are so hard. My cats are barley one year old and they did not like the hard pellets either.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My cats did not like it and refused to use the litter box. Transitioning them from lay litter is going to be hard. It smells nice though and seems to be easy maintenance. ,............…………………………………....

Great litter for cats

I just started using these wood pellets for cat litter a little while ago. I slowly got rid of the regular litter so they would get used to it. It smells much better than regular cat litter. Highly recommended

This is only kitty litter I will use. It smells fantastic, you would never guess I had a litter box in the room thanks to this. It’s super absorbent and easy to clean up. I love that it’s made of pine and not chemicals.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Pine litter is okay... not totally sold yet.

So far the litter is working okay. I needed a new litter box system to make it easier to use and my cat is struggling to transition, but she's using it. I have to keep the bathroom door closed because her backup plan is to pee in the shower... but I guess that's better than the carpet! As long as she doesn't have access to the shower, she will use the litter box. It doesn't have the best odor control - I actually think it has an odor itself that I don't love. One big benefit is that it isn't as dusty as her old clumping litter. Still debating if I'm going to continue using pine litter once the bag is empty.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Love wood pellets, total game changer

I love this wood pellet litter for my cats. I switched from clay and have never looked back. Wood pellets are better for the environment and also importantly, these don’t track!! I have 2 long hair cats and back when I used clay or wood dust litter, they tracked EVERYWHERE. These wood pellets are big enough where they don’t get trapped on my cats’ toes and fur. For my litter tray solution, I bought a sifting litter tray and I put a large waste bag in the bottom pan. The wood pellets disintegrate into wood dust when the cats pee and I shake the pan around for the wood dust to go through the sifting pan. They then collect in the bottom pan where I have the waste bag. My husband changes the waste bag every two weeks while I manually scoop the poop daily. The only downside I find with wood pellet is that it’s hard for the cats to use it to cover up their poop. So it’s not super scent absorbent.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good quality pellets

I will never go back to regular litter after the shelter introduced me to pine pellets. It takes a little getting used to but it's so much healthier, better for the environment, little to no tracking litter around the house, and there is NO CAT BOX SMELL!!! The pellets absorb liquid and break apart into sawdust when they get wet, then will absorb another round or two of liquid before remaining wet and needing disposed of. Just pick up the solid waste and shake the box every couple days to keep good pellets on top until there is a layer of sawdust underneath, then use a sifting pan or even a scoop with smaller holes to shake out the sawdust into the trash while saving the good pellets. You could even put the sawdust in a compost bin. I made my own sifting pans by drilling holes in cheap small litter "boxes" since I use large storage bins as litter boxes for my special-needs cats. I scoop the litter into the sifter, shake the sawdust into a trash can, and dispose once the can is full. These are good quality pellets but I wish they didn't charge 3x as much for the exact same thing that farm stores carry for horse bedding. The last farm store in my area switched to a "softwood" bedding brand though, which just isn't as good at odor control as 100% pine. This brand is comparable to the one I've been getting at another big Pet[x] store. From just the first bag, I think I'll switch to this one going forward! (I've been finding big shavings and even large splinters of unprocessed wood in the last couple bags of the other brand.) The So Phresh pellets are a good size, break apart nicely, and smell and look like real pine. A 40lb bag lasts me a couple months so it's at least a bearable cost, worth it over the softwood bedding issues. (That's with three cats, two on medication that increases their thirst, and three huge litter boxes.) Definitely give this brand a try!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I received this product for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. It seems like a good product and does what is supposed to but I think my preference is for a clumping litter instead. It is really nice smelling and seems very absorbent otherwise.

Yes, I recommend this product.

What if a kitten or cat Eats pellets ? is it safe ???

  1. Hi bill 63, Good day! Yes, kiln-dried pine is generally considered safe for a kitten to ingest in small amounts. Thanks

What are the ingredients in this litter? The package indicates it is 99.9% pine. What is the other 0.1%?

  1. Hi Curious Cat Owner, Good day! It is Pine. The 0.1% is so that the vendor is not challenged that things are not 100% of something. They only use pine in our pellets Thanks

Is this pine litter kiln dried?

  1. Hi Kittymeowmeow; Good day! All of our pine litter is kiln dried or heat treated. Thanks
