This is not straw. It is made of very small, soft wood chips. I don't know if it would be OK for strawberries, but when my bunny is through with it, I do use it for mulch.

This item is not safe for small animals. There are unfortunately a lot of products marketed towards small animals that are in fact not safe for them. You cannot go off of what companies or packaging says and have to do your own research. This is the same for treats, food, other types of bedding and cages that all say they are safe for certain animals and are not. Do not buy this bedding for hamsters, chinchillas, rabbits or guinea pigs unless you are willing to risk their health.
