Down & Dirty Directions: 1.Pour enough litter into a clean box, covering the bottom to a depth of at least 3 inches. 2.Each day remove your cat's business (#1 and #2) with a sifting litter scoop. Dispose of waste in trash receptacle. Clean the litter box regularly with warm water and mild detergent. 3. Replenish used litter with new litter as needed to maintain a depth of at least 3 inches. Replacing litter often will help minimize odors.
FOR PET USE ONLY. Keep out of reach of children. Inspect regularly and replace when litter becomes damp and/or soiled. A parasite found in cat feces may cause toxoplasmosis, especially in pregnant, nursing, or immunocompromised persons. Consult your physician for more information. Wash hands well after handling soiled litter. Dispose of litter in trash. Do not flush in toilets or dispose of in gutters or storm drains. Store in a cool, dry place.

This is my first purchase of the 8.5 tub of Sophresh - how far do I tear the tab to open it - does it only go to one side or does it go all the way around (all 4 sides)? (There should be instructions on the panel!)
My 1st time using this 12,5 lb. tub of Sophresh lightweight advanced odor control litter. I am having trouble understanding how to open this Sophresh tub! I see the "Tear" panel, but how far am I supposed to tear it? Details please!
- Hi Gingerale3, Good day! Step 1: Find the perforated tab and hook finger around to pull open. Step 2: Continue to tear along the side, stabilizing your hand against the top lid for rotation stability as needed. Step 3: You are complete when the tab is unwraps completely. Please note that the tab is fully removable and should be torn off completely. Thanks

Can I use this box to purchase a refill in Petco? Or does it have to be the green box?
- I'm sure they allow a refill but it would be regular litter. They just don't carry the light weight litter as a refill.

What is this made out of? I got this for my rats but they keep eating it. Want to know if it is a safe material to have in their cage. "Plant materials" is a little vague.

sophresh, light weight, advanced odor control, blue cap, purchased in july 2020....container states 99% Dust-Free.... ABSOLUTELY FALSE!!!!!!...NEEDED A FACE MASK AND GOGGLES TO USE THIS PRODUCT....does petco sell gas masks for cats??
