I use this with plastic bags and pee pads so your mileage may vary but it has lasted us over a year with 2 cats. One of my cats is a high peer and it's basically impossible to find a litter box high enough for her that isn't top entry. This is the only one that solves that issue but also is tight enough that it holds all the leaks in. I tried to get her a fancy stainless steel box but it was not high enough and ended up leaking. The only annoyance is it's a bit too big and it's hard to find litter liner bags for this size...however it works great and I will keep using it until it finally breaks because I cannot find anything better.

Good size for my larger cat. It came with a broken latch.
