I had two of these and then switched them out for metal ones. I didn't realize that my orange cat was too big for the new ones, so I got this one for him. I got it ready for use, put him in it and he immediately started playing in it kind he was so happy to have one he can fit in again. Then he started guarding it like "this is MINE! Y'all ain't using this one!" 😂 Seriously though, he's a big cat (14 pounds) and can fit constantly comfortably.

I wish I had seen this before I wasted so much money on other so call extra large litter boxes. My girl has plenty of room to turn around without having to step where she last tinkled. She's 10.9 pounds and LONG. She's also overly enthusiastic when it comes to covering up her stuff so the high sides keep the litter in the box. She's a senior so the not too high front is easy for her to get in and jump out of the box which scatters the litter. I took care of that by purchasing a litter mat so I can put the litter that's trapped back in the box. For the price, it's worth every penny.

Just picked this up today for my 5 year old girl and rapidly growing 8 month old boy. I had a triangle one prior and it was smaller and they both would occasionally poo outside the box because being a triangle shape it was too small. This seems to be a nice shape because it is not strictly a triangle and is more comfortable for them to move around in. The only downfall is the walls are so high that they cannot comfortably rest their tails down, so they circle around once or twice or three times before they can finally go potty. I also wish this came in a beige color! Otherwise happy overall.

Not with the 2 I bought. My cats seem to like them better. More room so their nose isn't pressed against a side. I have a boy cat and he hasn't overshot the edge either.

The length and width refer to 26.25"L x 21.5"W. Is the length representative of the back to front (entry) and the width the side to side?

No. Width has opening on it and is 26 inches. Front to the back is 21.5 inches.

I liked the idea of a liner, but long ago realized my cats immediately scratched through the bottom creating an even bigger problem, pee seeping through holes in plastic! Yuck! I also use a natural corn litter, world's best. Encasing it in plastic to dispose of defeats the purpose.
