Looks like great but not usable with pellet litter
I couldn't give this 5 stars because I can't use it. We use pine pellet litter and the sifting holes in this litter box are too large and the pine pellets fall right through. It does look like this would work well with normal litter though. The XL size really is XL! Also seems like it's made well and the side guards are a nice plus.

Good and easy to use
Wow! This is really a game changer! Sturdy enough, has the shelter feeling that cats like and it is super easy to use. All that you need in 1 gadget! This will be used as a secondary one for our cat! Seems really good

Smaller holes please
We have different types of litter boxes; top entries and two sizes of Tidy Cats but all three cats prefer using 3x So Phresh XL. I have switched from clumping cat litter to Pine pelleted and unfortunately, the holes of the swifter are too large and the swifter no longer works for my setup. I love the "collar" that comes with this set. If there's a way to buy that separately that would be very good too because the cats scratch them.
Pine pelleted are more environment and wallet-friendly, please Petco make smaller holes for these.

Not good for pine litter. The holes are way too large and a lot of unused litter pellets fall thru the holes.

AMAZING !!!
so one review says the clumping litter sticks to the sides and you need to scoop anyway - not in my experience... another review says they don't like dumping the litter into the other pan with the sifter, so they just scoop and alternate the two boxes (and apparently don't even use the softer) - then why not just buy two litter boxes instead of this? we have 9 cats and 9 litter boxes of all sizes and shapes - one I made myself out of 1x8 pine, and two I converted from old totes... we use clumping litter and it is DUSTY as you sift through with the scoop - but this is mind-bogglingly simple, saving time and eliminates the DUST problem... I'd like to have the patent on this...

Not great
We’ve had cats for many years and used all types of litter boxes. Decided to try this when the auto cleaning litter inserts got so expensive. It’s just not great. You can’t wait or clumping litter gets stuck to the sides and you need a scoop anyway. And it’s gross to then stack them. After two uses you’d need to scrub the inside and outside of both boxes if you don’t want litter residue sitting on your floor. We used the clumping litter - maybe that was our mistake? I’ll go back to our scoop free auto cleaning box or just scoop daily. Easier and less messy. This is just gimmicky.

My boy is quite "husky" (22 lbs). Does anyone have experience with this product and a larger cat?
- There is no weight limit for these pans. Weight, alone, would not prevent a 22lb cat from using them. However, if the cat’s size is larger than the dimensions of the pan, that could prevent usage. The Extra-Large version of the Lift to Sift (sku 3164799) is the largest version for sifting, (22.5" L X 17.25" W X 10.5" H). If the cat’s dimensions are larger than that, there are a few larger pans to choose from in the SoPhresh brand but they are not sifting pans, fyi. 3164836 - SoPhresh Charcoal Skatter Shield High-Back Cat Litter Box, (24" L X 18" W X 10" H) 3164959 - SoPhresh Grey Jumbo Enclosed Cat Litter Box, (23" L X 19" W X 19" H) Thanks

Can you be used for clump litter
- Yes! I've had mine a year+ and always use clump. I love it and bought another one for granddaughter & kitties. I dont like tray liners and requires more cleaning without clump imo.

Does it come with high sides on the litter box or not? Pictures show high sides sometimes and sometimes not.
- Yes, this comes with high sides. The product pictures you refer to as not showing it with high sides are pictures of how it comes when it is shipped. All the parts nest for shipping. If you look at the picture and count the parts in the stack, there are four. If you look at the pics showing it with high sides, there are three parts under the high side. The Petco Customer Service answer that it does not come with high sides is a result of them being located in the Philippines and not having a clue about the product. And it should not have been pictured nesting because that is a useless and confusing picture. Who knows where in the world their product display people are located because they don't have a clue either.

After you sift how do you get the sifter under the litter again? Do you have to pick up the whole litter tray, put the sifter in and dump the litter on top again?
- Hi BaconK, Instructions for :So Phresh Grey & White Lift-to-Sift Cat Litter Pan SKU 3164781, 3164799 #1 - To use, stack trays in the following order from top to bottom: Tray A, Sifter Tray, Tray B. Pour clean litter into Tray A. #2 – To clean, pour contents of Tray A onto Sifter Tray. #3 – Lift Sifter Tray to separate waste from clean litter. Dispose of waste. Keep clean litter in Tray B and reset components to starting position. Thanks,
