So Phresh Extreme Clumping Scented Grass Seed Cat Litter, 20 lbs.
Description
The So Phresh Multi-Cat Ultra Clumping Grass Seed Litter has powerful clumping capabilities that immediately combat odor in the air so your home stays fresh. What makes this litter so special just isn't the fact that it is made with 100% US sourced, grass seed. The super-absorbent and strong clumping properties, combined with it being an earth-conscious alternative to clay, is a rare formula to find in a litter, especially one made without chemicals. Light in weight but strong in performance, our litter will exceed your expectations at trapping odor and keeping the waste contained in one tight, non-crumbling ball that won't stick to the sides of the litter box or break. So at the end of the day, you can breathe with some ease knowing you are scooping sustainably without sacrificing on performance.

Down & Dirty Directions: 1.Pour enough litter into a clean box, covering the bottom to a depth of at least 3 inches. 2.Each day remove your cat's business (#1 and #2) with a sifting litter scoop. Dispose of waste in trash receptacle. Clean the litter box regularly with warm water and mild detergent. 3. Replenish used litter with new litter as needed to maintain a depth of at least 3 inches. Replacing litter often will help minimize odors.
FOR PET USE ONLY. Keep out of reach of children. Inspect regularly and replace when litter becomes damp and/or soiled. A parasite found in cat feces may cause toxoplasmosis, especially in pregnant, nursing, or immunocompromised persons. Consult your physician for more information. Wash hands well after handling soiled litter. Dispose of litter in trash. Do not flush in toilets or dispose of in gutters or storm drains. Store in a cool, dry place.

Questions
My cat is allergic to short ragweed, giant ragweed, cocklebur, rough pigweed, and yellow dock. Can you confirm if there are any of these in the formula?
This question has been asked by two different people without a real answer. To PETCO, exactly what are the ingredients used to create the scent? Consumers have a right to know what they and their pets are inhaling.
- Hi MS Annie, Good day! We are not able to get the ingredient statement from the vendor as this is a proprietary formula. These are all natural aromatics extracted from plants that have been tested and found safe for use in products for small animals. Grass seed has a natural scent, so it will still be pleasant, but no added aromatics. Thanks,

Is the bag this product comes in recyclable? There's not indication on the bag itself. Thank you.
- Hi ScotG, The packaging for these SKUs are NOT recyclable, but is something that our vendor is working on improving. Thanks,

Has the litter been exposed to pesticides?
- I have no idea. I have used this litter for a number of years with no problems for my cats. Best litter for odor control and cleaning out clumps from the box.

It's great that the litter is earth-conscious, but it's provided in a bag that isn't. With so many recyclable options available, why not choose a package that's also eco‐friendly? Also, product image is unscented version.
- I love sophresh litter. the soiled litter isn't as heavy to carry as that of clay litter. The light color makes it easy to see what needs to be scooped. I agree with Andy B2 that I hate you've chosen to use the non-recyclable super heavy plastic bag. Grocery produce is now found in super heavy plastic bags but many are recyclable.

Is this intended to be used AS grass seed at the end of its life cycle as litter? (obviously after removal of nuggets...)
- No, I believe the seeds have been sterilized so they don't germinate. I'm totally satisfied with it's performance as a clumping litter.

This product is the Lightly Scented version but your photograph is the Unscented bag. What is the “scent” made from- oils? A chemical perfume? Someone asked already and your customer service rep answered incorrectly saying this was Unscented.
- Hi Frankie F, The scented litter uses natural oils that are blended to create the fragrance. They are non-synthetic. Thanks,

2 things I need to know before I try it: 1) What is the scent source? 2) What are the grass species? If any of it is viable in my area, I must know before I buy. (Too many species of invasive exotic plants are in Florida already, and some are grasses.)
- The litter isn't actual whole grass seeds. They are ground up and won't germinate. No need to worry about an invasive species, lol.
