This is awful litter. This is clay, which I do not use normally. It is absolutely NOT dust free. It puffs CLOUDS of dust into the air every time it is moved. It STINKS. And that's before the cats use it. Because the listing and the container are NOT labeled in any way as clay, I bought it assuming that it was the grass seed litter that I usually buy. I will own that mistake, but I will never buy this again and the lack of clarity, the lack of truth on the labelling, and the terrible stench means that I may choose to switch not just litter brands, but stores as well. And on top of all the other issues? It doesn't even clump that well. The clumps stay wet in the center, they fall apart all over the litter box, it's beyond awful.

One of my two cats started tinkling on their little mat. I think my male cat is the culprit due to the fact he stands with all 4 paws on the rim of the litter box. Nonetheless, After the 4th accident, I decided to purchase a new litter box & even though we were happy with the litter we were using, I figured I’d try new litter as well. I’m hoping these adjustments will prevent this from becoming a habit. I chose this litter based off of the rating’s and reviews which I now know are completely fabricated and bogus! The picture shows this litter almost like a sand like consistency but it’s nothing like that & has huge rock pebbles instead, The absolute worst part of this litter would be the amount of dust it creates anytime it’s moved. Seriously my cats even created dust just from doing their business. I was beyond disappointed that I purchased different litter the following day! Do your self a favor and purchase something else it’s been a while since we tried something else well. make some changes to hopefully prevent this from becoming a habit. I

Previously used the 30 lb. bucket for in-store refills until I had difficulty wrangling them by myself for a 4-cat household, particularly since we started to go through the buckets faster when the quality changed. I ordered several 28 lb. boxes online for delivery a few months ago and the first order was great. However, subsequent orders had delivery and product quality issues that have worsened over time. The inner product boxes had no quality control as several times in a multi-box order, the inner bag would not have a closure and litter spilled out upon opening. One time, the inner bag was put in the box UPSIDE DOWN and when we flipped the box to pull it off the bag, it turns out there was no closure and litter came POURING out. Product quality deteriorated quickly, too - size of litter got bigger and bigger and started to look more like clay mixed with chalk pieces and urine clumps broke apart, stuck to the bottom and sides of the litter box like cement, requiring trying to scoop lots of little pieces that broke off every day. I've had to purchase an air filter to avoid having the room fill with dust when the litter is used. Now the cost of the 28 lb. box has gone up $2.49 per box if not on auto ship - not pleased with the product at $9.99 per box, but definitely not worth the extra.

I end up wasting so much litter because it’s not solidifying, just smearing. It’s a hassle to clean and I recently had to buy another brand.

So it is impossible to actually clean out the urine which leads to urine smell, so you're then doing a full refill more often and going through the boxes much quicker. I'm now researching new litter options, which is unfortunate because my cats like(d) this litter, and I love the more sustainable refill option.

A former five-star user turned one-star. I used this litter for over 10 years with three different cats. Something has changed in the production of the litter. The quality has drastically declined. The unscented version has a strange odor and does nothing to mask urine smell. I kept checking the package to make sure I hadn’t purchased a scented version. Major decrease in quality. The container used to last for weeks, but now I go through it very quickly. Clumping is terrible, crumbly and gross. Such a disappointing change. It truly is awful litter now.
