Hello. I have two cats. One likes to play with balls and chase small toys; whereas the other one only likes to play with pointers. I have read some opinions against this way to entertain the cats because they argue that it can stress the animals and generate anxiety when they don't receive rewards for their actions. I know cats often have mock play, and I'm pretty sure thats what my 2 are doing, however, need to be sure. There are times where they play gently with eachother where you can tell it's mock play, and there are times where its pretty rough and I have to wonder what happened.
