Simparica is a chewable that kills adult fleas, and is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis), and the treatment and control of tick infestations (Amblyomma americanum (lone star tick), Amblyomma maculatum (Gulf Coast tick), Dermacentor variabilis (American dog tick), Ixodes scapularis (black-legged tick), and Rhipicephalus sanguineus (brown dog tick)) for one month in dogs 6 months of age or older and weighing 2.8 pounds or greater.

Simparica is given orally once a month at the recommended minimum dosage according to your dog's weight. Simparica can be offered by hand, in the food, or administered like other oral tablet medications. Care should be taken that the dog consumes the complete dose, and treated animals should be observed for a few minutes to ensure that part of the dose is not lost or refused.

Prescription from Vet is necessary. I had to mail the original signed document to Petco for approval. The entire process from ordering online to receiving the shipment was less than 2 weeks and was easy to do. The shipping was fast and product received is what I ordered, no problems. Thanks.

Prescription repeat delivery nothing but a hassle

I used repeart delivery for my pet's flea medicine for well over a year with no problems. No, suddenly, Petco keeps cancelling my orders saying my vet did not approve, yet my vet says they sent approval MULTIPLE times. I gave up and purchased elsewhere. Shouldn't be that difficult.

Should be delivered in a box and not an envelope

Delivered with the carton smushed with nearly both ends open & potentially an impact to one of the tablets - can’t tell if broken or not & not ready to dispense it yet to check. Delivered in an envelope instead of a box which would have prevented this from happening.
