I set it to 77 and found my tank at 83F and still heating. It was in a spot with good flow. Even tried the app calibrating thing and it warned me I reached the max adjustment. Would work great to boil some eggs.

I bought this heater about 4 months ago waaayyy over price!! It is not worth the cost by any means!!! Also it is in no way at all "contactless!" In fact you have to take it out of the water every single time you want to view or change ANYTHING!!! Unlike my Bluetooth light that I nly had to connect to ONE time, and as long as I have internet it works fine every single time!! This product is very misleading and most definitely false advertisement! And to top it off not only does it have to be taken out to scan everytime, the scanner also sucks so bad that it wont even read 98% of the time! I have never had such a negative experience with a fishtank heater, EVER!!! I do not and will not ever recommend this, not even to my worst enemy!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS TRASH! I wish I would have came to the reviews first because I only paid the ridiculous amount it cost because I thought it would be great and completely contactless!! Learned my lesson real quick! However, I am giving it 1 little star because it does keep my fish tank at proper temperature.At least they got that right because the math doesn't even math with the rest of this HIGHLY stressful, pain in my 🍑, not smart at all, lying, tube of heat!!!!!!!!!!

The concept is great, but the product does not function as claimed. In order to pair the heater with a smartphone, the heater needs to be out of the water. But the directions state that the heater should not be powered on unless it is submerged. That’s the first flaw. After pairing the product out of the water initially, the app had continued to require re-pairing the heater after making any sort of adjustment on the app. This proved to be incredibly frustrating as the heater had to be removed any time that I wished to pair it. The component of this product that work incredibly well are the suction cups that help to adhere it to the glass. They are some of the best sealing non- mechanical suction cups that I have ever dealt with. They would be great if you were climbing a skyscraper, but not so great if you must remove the heater any time that you wanted to make an adjustment. The heater also maintained temperature 4 degrees F higher than the temp setting on the app, according to two separate thermometers.

Decent idea but it needs work. The NFC tech is weak and requires that you pull the heater out of the tank to get a reading. If they stuck with this tech, the NFC part should be in the top of the heater. It would be better if it was Bluetooth and could be accessed more easily.

Bought this for an aquarium & thought 'what the heck, id love a contactless app controlled heater." The packaging and instructions are very straight forward & informative. It even has a very easy to understand set up video for app. But, after multiple attempts, turning phone in different directions, checking that my phone is infact NFC Compatible, restarted phone & app, and doing this for over 30 minutes (when app says 'seconds') just to have it not connect. And this heater does not have a manual option, which wouldve been fine w/o app. Customer support is not helpful and hard to get in contact with. Very disappointed.

Yeah, listen to the reviews. They can’t even make a simple heater work. Mine would turn on for 10 seconds at a time and then turn off and not heat.

Garbage - Awful Product failed in a very sort time

We bought this two years ago and it has worked great. We decided to love our fishees a little better so we upgraded them from a 20 gal tank to a 40 gal. This still worked great throughout the summer but now that autumn has hit, we had to buy one with a greater wattage for the bigger tank and colder air. We bought the same brand again after having solid performance from the smaller one for 2 years.
