Great Concept

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the idea behind this product. The concept is great and totally useful for Furbabies like our 7 month old Big and Restless Rescue Pup. Front seat to Back seat then Front seat to Back seat. She's all over the place like a jack rabbit and not only is it Super Annoying but can be Very Dangerous as well. This Sherpa® Crash Tested Seatbelt Safety Harness is an awesome way of stopping that. Only concern i have is that it's quite short so it kinda of pulls her down and she can't sit pretty comfortably and HAS no choice but to lay down. The Harness itself though fits her perfectly and had been so very helpful in training her to stay, walk with me and not pull too much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this harness awhile back , but didn't use it till recently. This is a great harness...... It really helps to keep my dog safe and keeps him from trying to get on my lap while driving. Which makes it safer to take him places.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our dog, Gus, is a 10lb Pom and this harness worked great. I use it to take him on walks and it’s kinda fun to carry him by the straps like he’s a bag. Seems to be really well constructed and I’d recommend to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works perfectly whether in the car, or using it as a regular walking harness. I love that it has the handles so I can hold by the handles if I need to. The medium fits my german shepherd perfectly, and it has been way more comfortable for him than his last one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog LOVES to go in the car, but she moves around a lot. I don't like using a regular clip-seatbelt on her, because she still moves around and then gets tangled with the seatbelt. But this harness fixes all of my problems. I know my dog is safe when we use this. It's a bit heavy, but it definitely provides her the protection we need.

Durable and Safe!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Sherpa seatbelt safety harness is the greatest invention! We are absolutely in love with it. My 7year old, slightly overweight, rambunctious pug loves going on car rides and he’s constantly roaming from window to window and attempting to jump from front seat to the back. Also do to the shape of his head, we must use harnesses not collars because he’ll slip out of collars. This harness keeps him restrained in his seat with enough wiggle room that he’s not uncomfortable and the best part is that it keeps him safe! I love that I can just connect it with my normal seatbelt in the car and it’s time for him to enjoy a ride. Then we just unbuckle, and attach his leash and we’re good to go play at the park.

I have an elderly 9lb poodle who gets upset sitting in the backseat. Is their a safe way to restrain him in the front seat avoiding the airbag? Will this product fit him or can you offer other suggestions for car safety?

You indicate that there is chest pad has "Soft padding inside chest area for comfort". What is the exterior material of the chest pad? I previously had a dog harness that had a chest pad that was a material that held the fur and was impossible to remove.

    1. The exterior is a heavy duty nylon that is really durable. The chest padding against the fur is almost like a tricot knit only more sturdy the padding is under that. I have had no problems with mine and I have 2 one for my small dog and one for an 80 pound Airedale. Hope this is helpful.

All 4 sizes fit my dog who has a 28 inch chest. Do not really know which size will fit him best as he is 50 lbs and 21 inches long from neck to start of tail. Need more details on sizes. Which one fits him best

    1. I would go with the medium. My Dalmatian is 90lbs, we went with the large and we still had a log of excess strap. We rolled the excess strap up and used the sewn in velcro loops to hold them, I'm sure you can cut it to length but be sure to melt the edges to avoid fraying. And because of my Dalmatian's built, he has a large, square back the top part of the harness fit OK. The top part seemed a little small for his built so a medium wouldn't of worked at all. I would recommend a medium for your dog.

what tether works best with this harness and fits a ford truck?

Is this safe for front seat use?

      1. Never put your dog in the front seat, especially if you have passenger side airbags.  If you are in an accident, the deployment of the airbag will kill your dog!

Does not state what size dog this extra large Sherpa seat belt harness would hold? Any idea what size it will hold?

      1. Look at the picture, it tells you at the bottom left of the tag - measure of chest.  It changes with each size.
