Ingredients
Sorbitol, Hydrated Silica, Glycerin, Purified Water, Natural Flavor (Peanut), Xanthan Gum, Mushroom Extract, Benzoic Acid, Sodium Copper Chlorophyllin, Eucalyptus Oil, Parsley Seed Oil.
Directions: To introduce your dog to the toothpaste, apply a small amount onto your finger and allow the dog to taste. Next, apply a small amount onto a Petrodex toothbrush. Then, gently pull the lips and cheeks up. Begin brushing with short, back-and-forth strokes at the gumline. Brush only a few teeth the first time. Give a lot of praise during the process. Avoid using human toothpaste on your pet. Warnings: Avoid contact with eyes. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Store at room temperature.

- One of my dogs, no toothpaste I have used foams. The other dog, every toothpaste I have used foams.

should Petrodex natural toothpaste look like a black gel
- Here is what I have noticed. The Petrodex enzymatic toothpastes are opaque and look somewhat like I'd expect a toothpaste to look, just tan or cream colored instead of white like people toothpastes. The Petrodex NATURAL toothpastes I have used, Peanut and Poultry, are clear very dark green gels. I brush my dogs' teeth daily, I have alternated the enzymatic and the natural for about one year on my two dogs. Great results.

Does this product expire?
- Petrodex toothpaste does expire. The expiration month and year are on the inside flap at one end of the cardboard box the tube come in.

Is SENTRY Petrodex Enzymatic Toothpaste a good product to brush my dogs teeth with? How often should I do it?
I bought Sentry Petrodex toothpaste and my dog hates me trying to brush her teeth even with all of the suggestions provided to gradually introduce her to it.. However, she loves greenies and I put a little of the toothpaste on the greenie and she will eat the greenie and chew it good. I do this once daily. Her teeth have improved a lot. I only put about the tip of an index finger amount on the greenie. Is this a safe method since she is eating the toothpaste?
What is a good and safe product / brand for cleaning my dogs teeth?
My 20 lb 1yr old dog chewed on a tooth paste tube. I'm not quite sure how much was ingested, but by looks of it, he may have ingested about a third of the tube. I've attached a photo below. It does not seem as though he has ingested any parts of the tube or cap. It's just chewed but nothing missing or torn off. The brand is arm and Hammer. It does contain fluoride but NO xylitol. It is a non-suds toothpaste. Attached below are it's active ingredients
Dental oral care...which products to use? Was suggested OralVet, as its the one which digests in the dogs stomach is swallowed in big chunks. but not readily available in most stores. Is there a comparable product readily available, safe and easily digested?
