Pristine uses bio-augmentation, a non-chemical and natural method, to improve water quality. It provides bacteria that break down excess food, waste and detritus in freshwater and marine systems. It will also reduce excess nutrients (e.g. ammonia, nitrates, and nitrites) that may fuel the growth of nuisance and disease-causing organisms. Pristine increases water clarity and promotes overall better health for the aquatic environment. The species of bacteria in Pristine are a unique blend, specifically developed for hardiness and their ability to adapt to a wide variety of environmental conditions. They thrive in fresh or salt water and can utilize a wide range of organic compounds, including fats that can cause unsightly films. Unlike traditional nitrifying bacteria, this bacterial blend can adapt to harsh or low oxygen environments and continue to multiply and improve water conditions. Biopolymers produced by established bacterial colonies trap particulates and increase water clarity.

Shake well before use. Turn off UV/ozone. Use 1 capful (5 mL) for each 40 L (10 US gallons). Then use a maintenance dose of 1 capful (5 mL) per 80 L (20 US gallons) with additions of livestock or the disruption of the biofilter through cleaning or medications. Antibiotics should be removed with fresh carbon and a water change before adding bacteria. Allow 2 or 3 days for the bacteria to become established before using UV sterilizers or ozone. Recurring problems with high nutrients can indicate overstocking, overfeeding or inadequate filtration. Product shelf life is 4 years from the date of manufacture.

I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Will a UV sterilizer help ?? Please advise. Thanks Lina
Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
My pond goldfish had swim bladder issues so has been inside for 6 weeks. He was pretty active and I brought in another to keep him company. Since Feb 1st, he is at the bottom, eating a bit especially when I drop it right in from of him. No external signs of any disease that I can seen. Nitrites are high as tank is cycling. I am adding Prime, aquarium salt (1 gram) and 30% water changes. Nitrite converting bacteria is establishing now. Any thought on what it could be and what to do? Thank you

I’m trying to cycle a 10 gal fish tank. I have been adding your biological booster for a month now and nothing is happening. The ammonia is holding steady at .5 ppm and I’m not seeing any nitrites. Is there a way I can test to see if there are actually live bacteria in the booster. I’ve checked everything else I can think of.
Whats a low cost treatment for my infected fish with ich that already have the white spots on them

Rust colored algae in both of my 10 gallon tanks after switching from gravel to sand substrate. What can I do?
Which disinfectant would be best to treat an open fish wound?
I noticed bloat in my flowerhorn about two weeks ago. It was there when I fed him and went away when I didn't. So I treated him with Epsom salt soaked pellets, bloat was present then. Then I noticed white poop so I stopped feeding entirely and added metronidazole 400 to the tank. Didn't work as I only saw white poop, so I added the medication into his food and now I can see brown poop hanging from a clear poop sticking out of his butt. Earlier the poop didn't stick out of his butt. What to do?
