My chicken is limping, her poop is runny and goes everywhere, her comb towards the back is black and peeling off, and her underbelly is bare
I got 3 chickens today. They are Rhode Island red, Barded rock and Black Wyandotte Bantam. They are understandably scared and anxious about moving into a new home. How can I help them adjust and be more at ease?
We have 5 chickens and receive 5 eggs a day. Around 2 weeks ago I noticed one hen had feathers missing around the neck area. I thought maybe it was a cat attack and didn't worry as behaviour was per usual. Today she sat in the coop with her eyes wide open and didn't leave once. This is very unusual but she still layed a perfect egg. Maybe it's noteworthy that the 5th chicken was introduced later however the chicken of concern (ringo starr) was part of the original 4.
What does JPH17M on a dark blue leg band mean for me parrotlet?
I have a Red Sex Links chicken. She doesn't like being around the other girls or the rooster. I don't have any other place to put her. She was also bullied for some time by my Pekin drake, as well as the other hens. She now only eats from my hand, but very little. I've taken her inside a few times, and she loves to sleep beside me…but I can't keep her in here with me! what is wrong with my girl??
My birds is pooping red
Is Purina Layer Pellets a good brand for chickens? What else is there (better or worse idc)
I bought this chick a week ago with 2 others but didn’t have a choice when choosing as they came from a big breeder. She/he came with no feathers around the neck and recently noticed it hasn’t got any around the chest and bum area and have also noticed that it’s poo is runny and dark most of the time. But the 2 others are in good condition. It’s my fist time owning chicks. It is a sussex breed
my hen is bleeding from beak
I am looking to get a bigger cage for my 2 year old conure. Currently I’m in the market to buy one online that is advertised as a “solid metal cage” coated with “non-toxic hammertone paint” which included stainless steel dishes. I was just was just wondering if this would actually be a safe cage for a green cheek.
I have a 2-year-old Golden Sex Link who suddenly started acting disoriented around 7pm yesterday (August 9). She is sitting down quite often and is looking around her as if she doesn't know where she is. She did not eat today but will drink if water is held in front of her. She is also acting as if she can't see her food. Her wattle/comb are an off-red/orange. It has been very hot in Los Angeles lately, so we have been giving them watermelon and lettuce to help keep our flock cool.
Hello, my 22 year old blue and gold macaw, that we got from a rescue 2 months ago just laid an egg. The egg fell to the tray and broke. We have no clue what to do now. So many different suggestions on the internet.
