When all available refills are used or the authorization expires, we will reach out to your vet to obtain a new authorization. We had originally put my dog Pepper on the Royal Canin weight control formula and that was making her skin so itchy so our vet recommended to put her on this food due to the skin benefits and it has been absolutely EXCELLENT. She has lost weight at a reasonable rate these past few months, from 38 to 34lbs and her skin/fur is so shiny and no more itching! I've seen what I've needed to see that this food works and I will keep her on it not only for weight loss, but or management as well and our vet agrees. I am always happy to feed this brand because I know it works.
