Description

Royal Canin Urinary SO Small Dog is a veterinary-exclusive dry dog food that supports bladder health. It increases the amount of urine produced to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Low Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology helps lower ion concentration, which contributes to stone formation. Adapted kibble size encourages chewing to support dental health.

  • - SMALL DOGS WITH URINARY CONCERNS: Royal Canin Urinary SO is a veterinary-exclusive adult dog food for small dogs under 22 lb with urinary health concerns
  • - HELPS DISSOLVE STONES: Innovative urinary tract dog food helps dissolve pure struvite stones and helps prevent calcium oxalate stones
  • - BLADDER HEALTH: Lowers the risk of crystal formation using RSS methodology for dog bladder health
  • - S/O INDEX: The exclusive S/O Index creates an environment unfavorable to crystal formation in the bladder to support urinary health
  • - SPECIALIZED KIBBLE: Adapted kibble size for small dogs encourages chewing to help reduce tartar buildup
  • - QUALITY AND SAFETY: Attention to the very smallest details during the formulation and production process helps Royal Canin deliver precise and effective health nutrition for pets
  • - THIS BAG CONTAINS 39 CUPS OF FOOD: Refer to the packaging for daily feeding guidelines and to establish your shipping schedule!

It helps my dog but I wish it came in a different flavor. My dog has a problem with chicken! She is suffering through it with the help of allergy meds, but would be nice to have a fish or beef flavor

Works Well, but Tastes "Meh", Bag Reseal Fails

My small Doodle doesn't care for the taste of the product, Royal Canin Urinary S0; though I must say she can be a little discriminating. She will feign eating as long as possible unless I top it off with something. Given her urinary condition, I suppose this prescription product works well, as she's had no problem since her bladder surgery. Other than the high price, my only other complaint regards the packaging--the bag having a weak recloseable zip-seal that never lasts more than a week. After that I have to use a spring clamp. You'd think with the high cost, a better seal would be possible.

My dog Coco needs the urinary food for struvite stones. I tried the Purina brand but it does not come in small paws size. My vet said her dogs eat it like it is crack. My dog does too!

No, I do not recommend this product.

My Vet first recommended the Purina version of this type of dry food, but my dog would not eat it. Your dog food was recommended second by my Vet and my crossed shih tzu/poodle, ate it immediately. It is wonderful that you make a small breed morsel size. My dog has been on your food for over a 1.5 years and is it keeping his urinary track healthy.

My Shiz tzu seems to like the small size kibbles. The only downside is that they dont sell a larger bag. To me a 17 lbs would benefit us more that an 8.8 lbs bag.

Yes, I recommend this product.

April has now been on this formula for two weeks. She is a ‘very’ picky eater. She is cleaning her bowl.

Our 10 yr old female pug need a chicken free (allergies) urinary tract healthy dry dog food for little paws. Do you have anything that fits her needs? Thank you!

  1. My 3 yr old Maltipoo has been on Royal Canin Urinary SO for a year due bladder stones. She has been doing great and I would recommend it. I did find softening it with a little warm water seems to make it more palatable for her. But overall it is really helping her.

Will this Small Breed SO Uninary food work for a chihuahua without teeth? My picky chihuahua prefers kibbles to wet food.

  1. My mini doxies can’t eat it. The pieces are too big.

What is the difference between Royal Canin Canine Urinary SO + Satiety Dry Dog Food (prescribed by our vet) and Royal Canin Urinary SO Small Dog? I have a 13.5lb Min Pin/Chihuahua mix.

  1. I have a 5lb Yorkshire Terrier and he was prescribed Royal Canin Urinary SO Small Dog by his vet due to kidney stones. It helps to increase urine output hopefully reducing the formation of stones. From what I read, the difference appears to be an additional benefit of fiber to help with weight loss or weight management in the dog food your pet was prescribed. I hope that helps some.

Does this come in a larger than 8.8 # bag?

  1. Not at the stores, online yes.

Is this food good for a 25lb puggle

  1. For a 25 pound pug, the Urinary SO would be a better option

What is the recommended size of dog is this for. Our Cavachon is around 30 lbs(big for Cavachon and has UTI issues)?

  1. The Urinary SO Small Dog is recommended for dogs under 22 pounds

Can this be given to a dog with IBD?

  1. We would recommend speaking with your veterinarian about our Multifunctioon Urinary + Hydrolyzed. This will cover both urinary and IBD.
