Royal Canin Urinary SO Moderate Calorie is a veterinary-exclusive dry dog food that supports bladder health. It increases the amount of urine produced to help dilute excess minerals that can cause crystals and stones. Low Relative Super Saturation (RSS) methodology helps lower ion concentration. Moderate calorie content helps them maintain a healthy weight.

Our vet diagnosed my Clementine with stress cystitis back in January and recommended switching her to a urinary diet to prevent other bladder issues. I'm not thrilled about having yet another pup on an expensive prescription food but Royal Canin truly was the best option. Hill's c/d caused horrible GI upset and Purina's UR smelled like something crawled in the bag and passed away... Urinary SO has been a godsend and her bladder inflammation was significantly reduced within 30 days of transitioning. She loves the taste and it's easy on her tummy too. Bonus points for not having a strong smell :)

Best urinary health food on the market

This is the BEST food on the market for urinary health! The moisture content alone exceeds that of other brands. My 9y/o Saint Bernard and I thank you so much for creating this high quality product that keeps her healthy in her senior years.

I received cat food instead of dog food. Bag is very heavy. Great difficulty getting it into the car for return in Costa Mesa.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Made my cat sick

My cat was prescribed the Royal Canin SO moderate calorie both wet and dry . She would throw up occasionally after eating the canned . I thought it was her . Purchased elevated slow feeders , she would be ok for a week or 2 then immediately throw up after eating . I reduced the amount , gave her more dry , she was always hungry and looking for food , my vet said she had to stay on it due to one time having crystals when she was at the shelter . She then started to throw up the dry . I checked reviews on this food and apparently that is a common side effect and the quality of food and ingredients are not good . I refuse to give this to her . I found a better food , non prescription for urinary that she likes . It’s a shame you can’t put better ingredients in this especially for the price you charge

It keeps our dog crystal free! He receives no other foods at all other than the dry food. He was laden with surgery twice in 3 months before he was 100% free of any other foods! Thank you to our great vet also.

can you buy the smaller bag of royal canin Urinary SO dry dog food- it is listed on website but when I click on it the large bag comes up???

  1. I have never tried buying the small bag. My dog eats 1 cup twice a day so the large bag does last a long time but the food stays fresh in the zip and close sealed bag.
