My cat has been to the vet twice for vomiting. It is most likely that she has IBD. The vet has prescribed Royal Canin Selected Protein Duck, but kitty wont eat it. I found Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet Duck and Green Pea, which she likes better. Is this food a good alternative to Royal Canin? I just want her to eat. She keeps losing weight
my cat has a sensetive stomach and the vet put him on royal canim adult pd diet.. 1 is duck and other rabbit . would like to know if there is a fish food i can get for him....thamk you
Hi my trixie has eaten Royal Canin Rx wet & dry diet selected protein rabbit pea for many years for irritable bowel. Lately sheโs seemed tired of it, not wanting it my vet has examined her & done blooodwork and found nothing. Iโve even tried switching to the duck and pea and she likes for a few days-then loses interest. My vet suggests trying hills Rx z/d for food sensitivities but Iโm so afraid to switch from the Royal Canin selected proteins Any advice on if this may be a smart switch ? Thx
I need a canned cat food that has protein and fiber for my constipation prone cat, any suggestions. She eats royal canin dry food now (fiber response)
Can you please recommend a diet for a cat with Feline pancreatitis, currently feeding Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Feline Sensitivity Control Wet food. He only eats wet food.
Hi Trixie has eaten wet Rx Royal Canin rabbit pea selected protein for many years due to IBS. Recently my vet gave me a can of duck pea to try because she has seemed to grow tired of rabbit. She told me to offer her both and let her choose. trixie is mainly Choosing duck but is still taking a few bites from the rabbit pea bowl too. If it doesnโt irritate her IBS can she have both ? Is It ok to mix? She also still likes her rabbit pea dry food. Thanks!!
Hi trixie has eaten Royal Canin Rx rabbit and pea for many years now for IBS. What has been your experience regarding stomach upset if I should switch to one of the other selected proteins like duck and pea? I ask because lately sheโs been not as excited about her rabbit and pea and every thing checks out ok at the vet (bloodwork , teeth etc) so my vet has suggested trying another protein. Thx!
After months of IBD and diarrhea, we switched jack to Royal Canin KO formula. All poop issues 100% resolved, but then the vomiting started. Always bile. Omeprazole and Pepcid have been unsuccessful. Since it started when we started the KO, I assume itโs related but Iโm nervous to switch lest poop problems come back. Looking for novel protein, with grain, with no peas/potatoes/chickpeas/lentils. Would you recommend Purina Pro Plan Focus Adult Sensitive Skin & Stomach Salmon & Rice Formula Dry ?
My vet diagnosed my 11 year old cat with IBD and put her on a RX diet of Royal Canine Select Protein and a steroid cream. I have 2 other cats and feeding them all the Royal Canine is out of my budget, and I haven't had much luck feeding them separately. I was comparing ingredients between the Royal Canine and Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet cat food and they appear to be almost identical. I ultimately will do whatever is best for Ethel, I just wanted to know if Natural Balance would work
My vet has prescribed to may cat Royal canin SO (as he had Urinary disease). However, I read its ingredients, it contains lots of grain and carbs, meat quality and content are also very dubious (probably 4D meats). Are there any alternatives against urinary disease, but grain-free, low carbs and good meat?
Our 1 1/2 year old female ragdoll feline started loosing patches of fur for last 2 weeks. No scabs/raw spots on skin. Vetinarian concludes not fleas or ringworm. No known environmental changes or new house products. Now starting Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP for 2-3 weeks in case it's food allergies. It's $50 for 7.7 lbs. Is there a less expensive equivalent Purina or other brand?? Thanks from Florida.
