Questions
Our Chihuahua is 18 years old and has bad teeth, will the Royal Canin Renal Support be small enough and soft enough for her to chew?
- Hello, answering your query here. My Chihuahua is also a senior and has had major dental surgery more than once, with many extractions. I'm told by many vets that this breed of dog, genetically has poor dentation regardless of the oral hygiene given to him. I don't completely believe this though. My little senior guy of 10 years is able to eat this variety of Rx food by Royal Canin. He really has enjoyed this kibble and he really digs in and eats robustly when I take a cup of food or so, place it into two ziplock freezer bag (freezer bags are super strong) (one bag inside another then add food) close the bag and whack it with a kitchen meat tenderizing mallet several times. Doing this, he digs right in and will eat an entire pup-sized bowl in one setting. Just be careful your cherished pup doesn't breathe in an inhale the portion of food that's powdery. Transfer the newly crushed kibble into another baggie and your good to go. PS: I also put a thick towl down and place the food to be crushed between it so the mallet doesn't destroy the plastic bags. You'll LOVE the high quality of the RC bag the food comes in. The zipper on it though unless they've fixed that, doesn't work. Good Luck! :)

What is the difference between the A and all the other letter designations? Is it just different flavors? If so, anyone notice their dog having a preference? I have a 7yr old Male Boxer. thank you
- Yes, they are just different flavors. Sometimes also a different shape. My dog (15 year old Beagle Boxer mix) likes it best when we change around which one we get. The variety keeps her more interested.

Nutritional analysis of royal Canin Renal support A
My 6 lb poodle is on the canned food. I’d like to mix dry into it but she is 15 with no teeth. Are any of these small kibbles for small dogs????
- Yes, the kibbles are small and should be easy for a smaller dog to eat.
