How do I get this dog food?
- You need to have a prescription from your vet. When you order the food online, you have to fill out your vet’s information and petco will call/fax them to confirm the prescription. If you think you need the dog food, take your dog to the vet first to see if they actually need it. Your dog may or may not actually have food sensitivities and there is no point in getting ridiculously expensive special food if they don’t need it.

Does anyone know what happened to the Canine Ultamino kibble? Has this food replaced it??
- The Ultamino and Hydrolyzed Protein PS are two seperate formulas. The Ultamino is still being produced

Our 1 1/2 year old female ragdoll feline started loosing patches of fur for last 2 weeks. No scabs/raw spots on skin. Vetinarian concludes not fleas or ringworm. No known environmental changes or new house products. Now starting Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP for 2-3 weeks in case it's food allergies. It's $50 for 7.7 lbs. Is there a less expensive equivalent Purina or other brand?? Thanks from Florida.

Noticed 12 yr. F. Lab Retriever having trouble releasing urine. Visit to vet for vaccine, felt dogs tummy and suggested ultra sound. Suggested immediate surgery because many stones seen. After surgery said most stones ever seen. I saw them, 15 lbs of stones. Says needs to be on Royal Canine Urinary SO dog food for life. She is not tolerating more than 1/2 her food being this food. Am mixing with her old food Blue Buffalo Senior. Now suggesting other Brand. Need special food for life?

My dog a few weeks ago she vomited so I gave her chicken n rice with Prescription Hills K/D she she got better now she wants it every time...now she wont eat without! I had no ideal chicken can cause her functions to get high...so I Changed her to Royal Canin exclusive Renal in a can its its like thick Pate' so I add water to soften it up! she eats it now but has not poops day 2. Recently my vet suggested changing my Golden Doodles food from Blue Buffalo Freedom Chicken recipe to ZD Hills Prescription Diet due to reoccurring ear infections and licking of paws.
