Can we get a pate version of Glycobalance?

3CatHouse

Glycobalance is the one diabetic support food that my cat will eat reliably, but she hates the format with chunks of solid food in sauce. Based on my experience this is not unique so I assume it is more targeted at human preferences rather than at cats, in similar fashion to the cat foods that highlight their vegetable content. Cats in my experience are not impressed. Please change the format of Glycobalance or add a pate version so I can stop having to use the blender.

Beware pork

I switched my cat from a different diabetic wet food to this one in an effort to improve her diabetic curve. Although my cat’s numbers improved requiring less insulin. After two weeks my cat came down with Pancreatitus. There is pork in the ingredients. Truthfully pork might be okay for some cats to eat but it is a very fatty meat and not a good choice for mine. It has been a battle getting her back to heath. Diabetes is hard to manage when the cat is too sick to eat.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Royal Canin Glycobalance wet food

My cat recently became diabetic and he likes this wet food very much which is surprising because I would’ve thought he would’ve gotten tired of it as it only comes in one flavor but he gobbles it down

Yes, I recommend this product.

Inconsistent quality with small black flakes found

Bobby23

While we have noticed some inconsistent quality in the past this last batch is particularly bad. Rigid black flakes of some material have turned up in the cans from 4 cases we have received with the date "20MAY2025" and the batch # "321B2RSD03". Additionally the food in this batch described as "thin slices" appear more as minced mush when previously they were solid consistent sized chunks in gravy.

Max is playing again!

Max05

Our cat, Max was diagnosed with diabetes, his gloco number was 470. All the foods we bought did nothing to bring down his glucose numbers. The vets assistant recommended Royal Canin Glycobalance. Max has been eating Royal Canin Glycobalance for about a month. Max not only loves the food but today we took him to the vet and now his gluco number is 88. He is running and playing again.

For cats that love gravy/juice!

Kayleen

This product contains a lot of gravy/juice which is great! The slices are nice and small, but I find that my cats tend to lick up all the gravy and leave the slices. I think that's just a personal thing with my cats though. They do the same thing with the Purina diabetic slices in Gravy. I do wish this product line had more options and was less expensive as there are few choices for diabetic cats and this food is more expensive than most other comparable presription diets.
