From Diarrhea To Gassy

I'm not quite sure how to feel. This was recc'd to me by a DVM after I described how my dog was having inconsistent stool quality after his last anesthetic procedure -- mostly that it would switch between soft and diarrhea for months. He was previously on Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach for seniors. Now that he's been on this for approx a month, my dog's stools are more consistent/firmer than before... but now he farts all the time, has the bubble guts, and has been pooping way more... like, to the point he's been having accidents in the house... Which isn't a reflection of Royal Canin, I suppose. It technically did it's job... but at what cost?

My puppy was having diarrhea, and my veterinarian suggested this food for him. After eating about a half of the 8 lb bag, his stools return to normal. I have no idea what that means

Our lab had 50% of his small intestine removed before we adopted him due to eating a toy. He had chronic diarrhea for 4 months after we got him. His vet put him on this food with 1/8 t. Tylan powder every other day. His diarrhea has stopped completely. He will be 5 in November!

My Vet recommended this Royal Canin gastrointestinal  dog food, since my dog was throwing up bile.  I have been feeding him this and he seems to really like it; however I am not happy, it has pork by products (Pork plasma?) pork blood, corn meal, flour!
