We recommend at least a 7 day transition before you begin feeding the new food exclusively. Start by mixing 75% of the old diet with 25% of the new diet on Day 1 and Day 2. On Day 3 and Day 4, mix 50% of the old diet with 50% of the new diet. On Day 5 and Day 6, mix 25% of the old diet with 75% of the new diet. On the 7th day, you can feed the new food exclusively. This allows your pet's digestive system to smoothly adapt to the new food.

I purchased 2 royal canin Persian dry food bags in the past 2 weeks and I can’t find the expiration date on the package. Was the expiration information moved from the bottom/back of the bag? That section is completely blank on my packages. Why?

Can other breeds eat this as well?
- Royal Canin is the best around. I have a long haired Persian Himi and it is the only thing she eats. Get the Persian 30 formula. They also have it for kittens.

do you have the 7lb bag in the store in homewood
- Not worth it! Royal Canin now (as of Fall 2013) uses Chicken by-products (feet, beaks, etc.) as their primary ingredient, which means it is not longer a healthy product for your pet! Seek out a natural cat food that has those features you are interested in. Good luck!
