This is the best food for transitioning bottle babies or those still on mama’s milk to solid wet food! I mix some Gerber Chicken baby food and some of this Royal Canin Mother and Baby Cat can food (even amounts) into a mash. I make it thinner when I first transition the babies by adding a little bit of water to get the consistency so it’s a little thinner. Once the kitties are eating that well, I stop adding the water so that it’s thicker. Then I slowly start lessening the chicken baby food until they’re eating the Royal Canin Mother and Baby Cat canned food straight. When babies are eating the wet food well, then I start introducing the Royal Canin Mother and Baby Cat dry food to them in a separate bowl, while still feeding the wet food in a separate bowl. The kittens are all individuals and will start on dry food at their own timing. I leave the dry food out 24 hours so they can nibble when they get hungry since they have small tummies. It works perfectly every single time to get the babies to transition to wet food.

They like it and that's a positive. Cats who aren't eating well, will eat it, too. I used it for the last 5 months of a cat's life when she had cancer and wouldn't eat anything else. However, the ingredients and guaranteed nutritional levels aren't listed on the individual cans labels, and with good reason. The ingredients are questionable at best. Pork by products, marigold extract. I don't know if it meets certification standards. That's not on the individual cans, either.
